Hello all

Don't know if this topic has been covered so apologies if it has.

I'm part of a couple who swing seperately when possible. Due to work patterns and family stuff it's not always possible to play together and as we're totally honest with each other this actually works for us! What do other swingers think? We're aware that this isn't for everyone, and in no way do we expect everyone to like what we do just need a general feel of what people think?

I know couples who both have work and family commitments and can't always play together.

I think if they are honest with each other and whoever they are meeting all is well.

Being open and both discussing it with the prospective meet is always good for all concerned. xxxx

We started playing same room, then started playing seperate room, which we both prefer. We find we can relax better, if you can understand that?

Then we started to play seperately a parties, although we arrived and left together.

We have discussed playing seperately, but have decided it's not for us at the moment.

If you both feel comfy playing separately, it doesn't matter what other people think about you.

We wouldn't play separately as it is not for us, as we like to watch each other having fun.

Everyones choice but not for us. We enjoy watching each other have fun. The other reason is i always want to know she is safe, and with me been there she always will be.

Same here. If it's right for you then great. We love watching each other have fun so separate room is not for us. Playing singularly would not do for us at all.

I first started swinging as a couple with my husband, we have since split and am now single

When we was together we used to meet together and both alone, meeting as singles worked better for us as we both had different tastes and hardly ever found a couple we both liked, but my ex like watching me with other guys so that worked well we used to meet singles and he'd watch, but noone wants to watch all the time so we started meeting alone, it really did work better for us

That's a fair point and i must say we also like to see each other have fun (when possible) and she tends to just play with people we've met together at parties/ clubs or ones she's met with before and is comfortable with

Im part of a couple where we both play seperatly, we also play together. It works brilliantly for both of us. What suits one couple wont suit another.

For us, swinging together is great, swinging apart is equally great.

We love to have the other come home with tales of what they've been up to - it usually fuels some really hot play!

At the moment we each have one person we play with as individuals (actually I have a couple but he doesn't always play), but we're both happy for that to expand if the situation is right and we're always happy to make contact with people to play with as a couple, even if we don't get much time to play together.

The real problem is convincing others that we're both ok with the other playing alone.. Guys don't seem to care, but girls definitely do, and many rule it out without even considering the situation.

We've only managed to meet with one other couple as a couple. We find the versatility of meeting as singles works far better for us. Work, kids, tastes, all combine to make finding couples more difficult than it should be. That's not to say we wouldn't meet as a couple if all boxes were ticked as it were.

I don't see a problem as long as everything is open and above board.

My Husband and I meet together as well as septerately. He has my full permission to do this and I have his.

Yup, trust is sooooo important. As others have said it's sometimes easier for us to meet alone than it is to both be in the same place at the same time .

we meet as a couple but have met on my own with single males that have met the hubby and he feels that I would be safe with. but with changing desires as am now into trying a little BSDM which is not his cup of tea he lets me on my own. But there is a call before the play and afterwards and it must be in our house.

It's not always possible and what works for some doesn't for others the big thing to take from all this is trust without it you'll be onto a losing hand straight away. I wouldn't dream of doing anything without first consulting juicy and she with me and I like the quote of convincing others as it's bloody hard even when you're upfront about it!!

It works for us my fella travels alot with work and can be away for weeks at a time he has currently been away for 8 weeks. Thats why we swing seperately. i think we would probably have given up on our relationship if we hadn't decided to do this. We tell each other when we have had a meet and are honest. Its much better

We realise that there are couples out there that do play seperately ... but we often get wary that its a false profile (as in she doesnt really play) and have seen many profiles where the verifys are all about meeting "him", never "her"

If we are going to meet a guy for MMF then we are more likely to pick a single guy than one half of a couple

You shouldn't even be asking, your happy with it, your partner is happy with it and those you meet are happy with it cos they know how you do things, anyone else's opinion is a non-entity.

But of course we are inquisitive things us humans so I guess it would be nice to know other peoples views, just don't let them influence your own decisions.

I say, have your fun there is nothing wrong with anyone doing what they want with thier partners knowledge and consent.

Saying that, we wouldn't mind meeting one half of a couple in the knowledge that they would go home and share every little detail of the meet :P.

Well as long as they were going home saying nice things that is lol.

If it works for you then its great. It wouldnt work for me and my guy. My guy does work abroad for weeks at a time but I wouldnt think of playing without him. He has actually said that if i ever wanted to then he wouldnt stop me. I wouldnt though because I dont feel I could offer him that, I know I would be upset if he was playing without me, therefore I wouldnt do something that I wouldnt want him to do.

The whole excitement of swinging is to watch each other having fun. We dont tend to just swap partners, we tend to enjoy playing as a foursome, though it can get like a game of twister at times, but thats whats fun for us.

He has always said that he wouldnt want to play in different rooms and I agree. I feel very safe with him there and i know he wouldnt let any harm come to me. In fact he does step in if he knows ive had enough. I just wouldnt feel confident or safe enough to play on my own whilst hes in the room next door etc.
