why do folk say they dont meet singles but when u look at their veris all from singles

Perhaps they put "no single guys" to prevent being innundated by hoards of single guys, but trawl through the profiles and pick who they want!

Not just guys, some couples can be just as bad (or should I say ignorant): One couple sent a friends invite despite no previous contact/communication - I looked at the profile and noticed they had "dont send friends invite if we dont know you - and if you have no face pics, dont bother". Guess what? They had no face pics either. Strike 2.

I couldn't be bothered emailing them, so simply reflected my status message to address that (I'm sure they'd notice) and deleted the friends' invite.

Guess what - 2 days later, they sent another friends invite - I guess I should be grateful as they were giving me a last chance? I blocked them lol.

You'd have thought so wouldn't you! We had to put a mass block on single guys messaging us when we had that very statement up on our profile as we used to be inundated! Some couples state that one their profiles and have a look for a singe guy themselves when they fancy one - it's a lot simpler! Z

Totaly agree i brought up the subject of ppls profiles being a bit confusing before only to be shot down in flames for doing so... regular users of the site are constantly saying read profiles but whats the bloody point if ppl cant be honest with them anyway ?

They are still being honest in profiles that have single males blocked though seeing as it is their own profile. And if they don't want single males to make the first contact with them then that is their choice to use the facility that the site has set up.

Whether or not their verifications are then from single males is no-one elses business but theirs. I can totally understand why they want to "pick and choose" who they contact themselves and not be inundated by hundreds of mails from males everyday.

Once again I find it strange why people feel the need to criticise or ask for explanations on how other people run their profile, their life, etc, etc, if you don't like certain profiles, for whatever reason, then move onto one you do like and hey-presto you won't then feel the need to moan about it and you will be a lot happier yourself!

Just my opinion, as usual!

Maybe they don't look to meet singles off this site but when they go to a club or party they meet them and get verified. Happens to me alot with couples and single fems.

We have verifications on our profile from single guys where we have met them at parties or they have been playing with fb's. As a rule, single guys are a no no for us as we don't tend to play in a 3some situation....but at a club or party things are sometimes different. Jem xx

im not critisiing anyones profiles and yes its upto them to use as they wish but when they say one thing then do another it just becomes a bit confusing for ppl to understand what it is ppl r actually looking for

On our last profile we had 65+ verifications, 61 of them were from people we had not played with but we had met at Chameleons, chatted to them and were able to confirm that they were what thier profile said they were, they did look like thier pictures, they were nice to chat to socialy.

Some were single, some were people who didn't play with smokers, some would never have chosen me to play with because I am over thier age criteria, some were outside our criterea, but they became friends.

Verifications do not always mean "shagged all night"

We've seen the same many times and thought how strange..

But as has also been said..

So are profiles where they state..

Only contact if you have a face pic (but guess what; No face pic on their profile or have a private gallery) ..

or..

Don't send friends invite unless we know you (but they send invites out of the blue)

I don't think it's anyones business tbh.

My profile is ambiguous as what I want can change from time to time and person to person and I believe I can reserve that right.

If a person, on occassion, wants to meet a single male, they are totally within their right, doesn't mean that they want to meet single men on a regular basis so I don't think they are being deceitful.

If a person wants to meet a smoker, it is likely because they have gotten to know them and felt that it would be more worthy letting that issue slide on that instance, doesnt mean they want to meet smokers on a regular basis....so again, they are not being deceitful

the profile is a guideline only, everyone makes their own judgement, same goes flip side of the argument, just because I say that my ideal meet would be x. y, z....doesn't mean i'm going to meet them just because they fit that criteria.

a meet is more complex than does he smoke, is he single, is he the right age.

allow a person the freedom to chose and they might chose you, complain about it, highly unlikely they will

I wasn't just meaning that you were the only one critisizing people's own profiles, there are many that come into the forums to moan about it too!

I could go on about it being their OWN profile and their OWN choices forever too but it won't stop people thinking they have the right to criticise other peoples OWN choices!

Like I said before if you (you being anyone) doesn't like what you see on a profile then it is easy to click off that profile and go to another one you do like!

People are allowed to "make exceptions" to meet anyone they want to and don't ever need to justify that choice to anyone else!

I still maintain that I find it odd that people feel that need to have a moan at someone elses choices, but then again some people wouldn't be happy unless they are having a moan.

Disclaimer - The above is not entirely directed at anyone in particular!

We do play with singles when we choose to do so, but don't invite contact from them, so we have the singles block on.

We meet most of the people that we play with, at parties or clubs.

We find that it's a lot less hassle.

You should look on it as a good thing. It means that they are obviously open-minded, might just give you the time of day if you bump into them at a party/club, and maybe, just maybe, they will find you suitable to have some fun with. Better that than a profile that says they will play with ANYONE between the ages of 16 and 99, tbh.

Also, a verification is just that, not a review or a road test. If I were to be in a tangle somewhere right next to a couple, but not actually touch them, I think I could happily verify them as players not talkers. Same if I sat with them in the bar at Chams, I could verify them as being approachable and friendly, even if they wanted nothing to do with me or any other single men. A verification is really just so you know they are actually human, not just a figment of Sidney University's imagination, nor a definitive run-down of the things they will/wont do.

I think we all know that if you don't pick/use the choices that are available here we would ALL be inundated with messages form all and sundry (if only!)lol

I know from what i have witnessed here that there are peeps who believe that this happy pass time is only for couples..tis true that's what the believe and they are entitled to that belief. so naturally they want to exclude messages from our happy band.

I too don't wish to receive so that helps me too.

However, they wake up one morning and think "lets give it a go and see if that boat floats" and why not...they can then be as selective as they want again without being annoyed/pestered.

we know only to well that a lot of blokes don't read the profiles and think if i send enough messages some one will say yes! well it may well happen but really 'dream on' all you'll ending doing is peeing off more cpls.

I know that it's very obvious that not all people here are to clear on how to set up the profiles and definitely don't review or edit.

We all have and make choices and we can change or use them as we see fit to fulfill our own personal wants.

I dont think that theres any need for some of the comments I read on profiles re others who contact and I'm sure if you looked at how your prof is set up these would diminish...but that would be in a perfect world I suppose!
