I got mine from Amazon. It was 11 quid plus p+p. Absolutely love it!! Wanna wear it all the time. And I'm not a small girl either.

I especially love the Steampunk ones at the moment. Steel boned I find are the best.

I order using my normal dress size. I'm an 18 so I would get a 4xl which usually is size 18/20. The companies usually have a size conversion chart to help.

Burleska and Corsets Uk plus ebay are all good.

Steel boned are definitely best - they keep their shape (and yours!) for longer.

Don't be tempted to go too small for your first corset, you'll just be uncomfortable. Also, call the shop before you order and ask the staff for advice.

And then enjoy!

I have 4 from corset story and my favourite by far is my purple and black steel boned one. It's steam punk and I actually had to send it back and get 2 sizes smaller. Great customer service too for an online retailer

Fairy Goth Mother - and go for a custom fitting. Don't buy the cheap rubbish corsets if you want something for actual tightlacing. If you're tightlacing you have to have it fitted to you otherwise you could hurt yourself.

Vollers are another good brand if you have quite normal measurements, but if you've got a short body like me then go FGM. I've got four or five gorgeous 18" and 20" corsets from them and they've lasted me years.
