We have the use of a house for the weekend, but have never hosted a party.. What do you guys reckon would be a good ratio, singles to couples ? Note the house is a terrace!!!

Look forward to hearing your advice

House party?

I would reccomend little or no alcohol..........

decide if there is to be no smoking and stick to it......

Any house rules or boundaries make them clear and stick to them.

Invite more men than you need because half of them wont turn up........

Half a dozen couples, should get the party going......

A few light nibbles would be nice......

And someone burly enough to eject troublemakers if things get a bit out of hand.

And do invite me if you would like a charming, fun guy who is a good performer!

That's the only thing that worries us, things getting out of hand... We haven't had much luck at the clubs and we suppose we can be a bit more selective.. But we're worried as it's not our house.. But its a good idea about setting some ground rules

Thanks

We did think about that the persons house is going up for sale and he's going to re- decorate, but still I know we don't want to trash it

Thanks

No it's not as bad as it sounds, my mate is about to sell his house but he's going to tart it up before hand but hasn't done it yet, he's away and said if you guys want to use the house we can, when i say party like someone has said it's going to be a select few.. But like we said just wondering about the ratio single guys to couples ?

As long as he's aware what you're using it for. We've had couple of parties here and only invite people we know, Have met and trust to respect our home and neighbours...We've never had any problems, no breakages or anything ruined and no complaints from next door...We put on some food, leave condoms, baby wipes and hand gel in the bedroom, keep downstairs for non play and one tip we picked up from other partying friends, put waterproof mattress covers on the beds...even though we do say so ourselves, our last one was immense!

We had a small party/ get together. We invited couples we got on with and (with their consent) let them know who was invited so they could chat beforehand. It went very well. Good luck.

Whether I was doing the house up or not, I'd be most pissed if someone I lent the house to used it for a party.

Sorry, I think we've answered that and he's ok with it and it's only going to be a small gathering, I was only asking about ratio that's all

We just had couples. Starting to think of another in the new year, we might invite singles for that one. But we intend to chat to people first and make sure everyone is happy, then see how it turns out.

I think we might just have to plan a little before we do anything but we will take on board you're advice, at the mo the negatives are outweighing the positives xx
