'Swinging' a definition please

This is a swinging site, traditionally seen as an activity where married couples interact in sexual activities. Yet many on here, myself included as I'm single, engage in activities which may be outside that definition gang bangs to name one. I wonder what the more 'traditional' swingers views are and where does one draw the line? (excluding the obvious illegal activities)

Definition to me is

Sexual activity and friendships between consenting couples and singles who are all aware of what each other does (IE swings with others etc)

There is no misunderstanding that the people you meet meet others for consensual sex etc

What i mean in a nutshell is openness

Well thats how i sees it anyway xx

Swinging and swinger can mean two totally different things, after all, a pilot will still be a pilot when he’s driving in a car to work

Swinging itself has moved on, think it’s just evolved, after all it used to involve wife swapping, even couples meeting couples these days don’t always swap partners, in the majority of cases its now used to explore peoples sexuality rather than swap partners.

Personally speaking, I believe singles can be swingers, although I wouldn’t call someone who will only meet people of the opposite sex 1 on 1 a swinger, but that shouldn’t stop them from enjoying the whole lifestyle either.

Having multiple partners with the consent of your permanent partner, named as swinging in the 60s has been around for centuries.

Over the years diversity has come into play (pun inteneded)

BDSM, Dogging, gang bangs, bukake, 3somes, moresomes, cuckolding to name but a few.

I think it's a good thing that it has diversified.

Well not so many marrieds these days, many are "new" partners often maintaining a regular relationship but retaining financial and social independence. Peeps on here are really no different to peeps of the world and it takes all sorts to make a world.
