I seriously don't know how you lot manage it... trawling through profiles that is. I just managed to look at 5 (from the men online now - who lived within a reasonable distance etc) before I got bored and it seemed like too much effort

I wish more did trawl through profiles, I do, couples profiles of course but I wouldn't dream of contacting anyone until I had read thier profile.

We only play with single guys at clubs so ask in our profile not to be contacted by single guys even telling them that we will block any that do contact us online (and we do) yet we get around 30 a day winking us, mailing us or wanting to be added to our friends list (the friends list that our profile points out we don't use)

But hey we get 10-15 mails a day from people who "won't meet smokers" and people who are looking for couples 15-20 years below my age so they are just as guilty.

i dont mind looking at profiles or writing messages and sending them but i hate the fact that you can spend hours doing that and getting no replies regardless of your approach but how else can you make cotact ??

There is nothing wrong with copy and pasting, more people should do it.

HOWEVER

sit down and write a general part of the message, what you like, how you can travel or not, about accommodating (overnight etc) basic general things that you think the person your contacting may want to know about you.

THEN

copy and paste that into your messages but having read the persons profile add a personal touch to the mail, show that you have read thiers and tell the person why you think it might be a good idea to get to know each other better.

It's like when blokes have the remote control, we like flicking around to see what's on. So trawling through profiles is the fun part, like others have said, getting no replies is the bad part!

I too find trawling through profiles to find people that suit me and that I suit to be a bit boring as well, but when you do find one that is just right, then it can be great. Although then I usually find myself sitting thinking for ages over the right message to send to them! And as previous posters have said, not getting a reply at that point can be a bit disappointing, but you quickly develop a thick skin.

Personally I fully accept that being, single, bi, a smoker, short and not being able to accom does limit my attraction and compatibility but its not like I haven't had meets with some fantastic people and perhaps in the end, the anticipation, increases the pleasure when you do connect!

precisely! hey if i had to trawl for meets i'd do exactly this

what really pisses me off is i currently have on my profile here to chat only, but guys think i'll still be tempted by a cock pic and a copy paste message about how much pleasure they can provided

its tedious but the same story every time - read the feckin profile!

We seriously need to do some more public profile photos.. The privates are too pervy to give the right impression!

We block those who we are not profile compatable with when we trawl profiles, we only do this to take them out of the "who looked at me" search

Shame it doesn't work on the other searches..

Profile checking is almost a full time occupation
