Unfortunately if you run a swinging club there's going to be a certain amount of exposure (no pun intended). Is it going to be that bad? Swinging is not illegal, although some employers can be arsy about it.

I don't have an employer now as the club is full time. I've had a certain amount of exposure anyway but living in a cul-de-sac is difficult to begin with. I need a thicker skin so I don't retaliate, thats the problem lol

Craft some comebacks for when they comment.

Him: 'Off to go to your brothel?' You: Well at least I have plans.

Him: 'I bet your club is full, of sad fat naked people' You: 'Actually we had Naomi Campbell in the other night.'

But better than that

I would also like to ask what you mean when you refer to the neighbours having ammunition?

I don't know where your club is, but is it overlooked by residents of neighbouring houses, are your customers rowdy when leaving, can noise be heard from the club.

I do think some of the comments on here are silly. Just because people don't agree with this alternative lifestyle does not make them wrong and they are probably not sexually frustrated or jealous. If there are social problems then could an understand approach be beneficial.

On the other hand they do not have the right to abuse you either, you are running an entertainment business that caters for an alternative hobby, thats all.

But in these kind of situations its always better to try and keep things amicable as it can escalate quickly.

I got outted a few years ago..And for a few weeks was the talk of the town..... Soon though it died down and I now get people coming to me to ask sex questions or general queries about the lifestyle.

I put on a front of being thick skinned but I'm not but I always now keep my calm. After all if I was ashamed of what I was doing I'd not do it

Hope it gets better for you and mostly people just envy you

Never worried about neighbours or anyone else. My lifestyle is legal and open....I hide it from no-one.

Current work and previous all knew...up to director level. No problem, nor, from a legal point of view, should it ever be. Many of my friends know about it. Not all but only because it has never come up. My lifestyle is part of who I am.

You have nothing to be sorry for...your neighbours may have much to be jealous if....are they just angling for free membership?

To any queries point out:

1, you run a successful business, you're your own gaffer and if things go well, it will be the Maldives again this Summer,

2, you can't talk as you have orgies to organise,

3, are there still repeats on the telly? You wouldn't know, as you are generally getting laid whilst at work

and so on

Most ppl have mundane jobs and would love to be doing a job that not only they enjoy but is an interesting never the same each day !

You do !( so lucky !) therefore have a big smile every time they see you and as many have said a sense of humour to put them down in a funny way ?

There always the old favourite of imagine them maybe not naked lol but I'm sure you can use your imagination lol !

They are only neighbours and if they don't like what you do ? Should just keep their noses out and live their own life ? ( you haven't refused their application to join have you ? Lol )

Blow up an inflatable doll, wrap it in plain brown paper, get it delivered to them. With a bit of luck, they will be out and the postie will leave it with a neighbour and leave a note for them.

Then enjoy as they have to go and collect it.

Tell them to come down and have a look round. They'll never look you in the eye again after they have seen me running through the place trying to do the windmill at the same time, if that's not enough to put them off I'm sure i could try going on the pole. That's bound to scare them enough.

Honey, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and anyone who looks down their nose at you is obviously jealous of your lifestyle!! Just laugh at their sad little lives, and get on with make the most of yours!!

Haters are gonna hate nomatter what you do. Instead of trying to work out how to deal with them, focus on trying to workout how you stop caring what they think. Juicy XxxX

They're your neighbours.

Not family, friends, work colleagues or bosses. You have the choice not to interact with them if you choose.

To those saying they're jealous, don't have the balls or they should lighten up? Why?

I'm sure many people don't get on with their neighbours for a multitude of reasons - parking disputes, noisy kids/pets, loud parties, overgrown trees/bushes invading your garden.

Nobody has to get on with their neighbour and ignoring and keeping a distance is an effective solution.

Retaliating only adds fuel to the fire.

Unless they are proactively doing something to cause you pain - contacting other neighbours or family/friends - then the best course of action is to just get on with your life. If you don't react they will simply get bored and find something else to do.

"Unfortunately if you run a swinging club there's going to be a certain amount of exposure (no pun intended). Is it going to be that bad? Swinging is not illegal, although some employers can be arsy about it."

Paid private swinging parties at home are illegal, if the property is rented or mortgaged it will say in the small print about illegal activities.

Clubs licences depend on local vanilla people not being put at risk or their children e.g. people walking into a club in a residential area wearing next to nothing/ parking etc.

Most clubs are on industrial areas where the council tollerate them but if its in a residential area like say a brothel its usually a no no with the councils because of the morality side of it.

Being a swinger as a civil servant, teacher, police etc is best kept quiet as they can lose your jobs because they could be liable to bribery and their positions put in dispute.

We found this out the hard way as i lost my job with social services because of my indecent moral activities in my free time.

Running a club in a residential area is not right as people do talk loud, are perverse in dress code, fill the area with cars causing parking problems and your neighbours will have children.

o you pay a license to the council? If you don't and are charging a fee then you could be raided by police for living off immoral earnings as its classed as a brothel.

Tread carefully and get some legal advice, don't listen to half the posts on here saying do as you wish because it may not be that easy.

Speak to neighbours and try to make the peace and get people to park in nearby roads and dress appropriate until they are at the party.
