Labia piercing

Hi all,

After having my nipples pierced, (which I love)I've been wanting my inner labia pierced too. I'd love to hear from anyone else who has had this done. Do we really have to abstain from sex for two weeks ? Are there any horror stories? What if it tears?

Any advice or experiences would be most appreciated.

I have mine done, its great for the fact it is different, but doesn't add anything sexually unlike my clit hood piercing, obstaining to be honest don't think it was 2 weeks, its weird but piercings in that area seem to heal very quickly

I have my hood done & was told to abstain for around 4 weeks. I lasted around 10 days and couldn't resist playing. Think the rabbit was a little extreme though, regretted it the next day...ouch!

got my hood done lasted less than a week, as long as you keep it clean shouldnt be a problem, ive had more issues with one of my nipples than i have my hood..x

I had my outer labia pierced and they were very troublesome piercings that just wouldn't heal so after about 5 months i ended up taking them out, inner labia is meant to be a much easier piercing to heal though

There is nothing weird about genital piercings healing quickly, it’s a function of the type of tissue and the massive bloody supply. Relatively speaking genital and facial piercings do heal quicker than for example nipple and navel piercings. Slowest to heal are ear piercings that pass through the cartilage because of the lack of blood supply.

Piercing the labia minor, as has been mentioned typically will not result in any sexually stimulation like a clitoris hood piercing. Inner labia piercings can, for some also be a maintenance problem as they will need to be kept clean whilst not upsetting the vaginas natural chemical balance.

All genital piercings tend to be less painful than people imagine. The nerve density of the genitals is low compared to fingertips for example. The reason that genitals are so sensitive to the touch is because the nerve endings are much closer to the surface.

Because of the low density nerve endings it’s possible for a piercing to be totally painless. The phrase ‘Hit a nerve’ is very real, and so it’s also possible for it to be very painful.

Post piercing care… just wash with a shower, plain warm water, don’t put anything on it such as saline or any anti-septic creams, this will only slow down the healing process.

Post piercing infection occurs when an alien bacteria is introduced before it is fully healed. Normal sexual activity with a long-term partner should ok but at best it will only slow down the healing process. Avoid oral sex and sex with strangers for at least 4 weeks, six weeks would be safer. If you don’t you MIGHT be lucky and get away with it as some have but it is risky.

There are two issues with healing time estimates… often people make the mistake of ‘thinking’ its healed because it doesn’t hurt and secondly body piercers often ‘adjust’ healing times so as not to put you off having it done. For example six weeks for a nipple piercing to heal – more like 6 months! The problem is the tissue inside that you can’t see!

No, being a bloke I haven’t had my labia pierced but I’ve done quite a few of them

No pain at all in relation to her belly bar, which seemed to take ages to heal.

Clit gives a little more pleasure for her. Lips for the guys.

As we go to Cap & naturist beaches, a lot of the girls tend to have done. Does appear the guys are in favour of the view.., Especially when having FUN with her.
