Has swinging changed?

Just a thought really after some less than great club night we've had this year. Now by no means do we go that often, maybe that's the problem, but seem more & more people go to club with pre-arranged meets & are only interested with these. We like the unknown factor of who are you going to meet & what you will do rather than arranging something, you could do that at home/hotel/carpark.

What are your views ?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I have pre-arranged meets at a club but make it clear I go as a single woman. Anyway, the last time I did that he buggered off with someone else so I don't do it any more.

There is definitely a tendency for it to be more cliquey.....

Depends on where we're going and what sort of night we want as to whether we pre arrange meets at a club

Our playtime is very limited so I would sometimes rather know what to expect if we're going for a big night out at a club, there are none near us so its always a going to be a drive and a hotel for the night so I like to make the most of it

We prefer to just bump into people as they say at clubs

If you make plans like meeting them there, especially if you have not met before, it turns into a commitment.

Would rather say we will be going, see you there type of thing, fair all round to be fair.

And lets face it, things may not work out as planned.

Just tonight we've arranged to meet friends in a club next month for a night out. Not the first time and won't be the last. I'm really not seeing what's wrong with that?

And more often than not first meets are in a club as if they don't show we've not had a wasted night. And I'm not really seeing what's wrong with that either?

And sometimes we go to clubs with no firm plans and just see who's there.

I think clubs on the whole are just a lot more of a social place, swinging and clubs seems a most trendy now days and a lot of couples who don't play seem to go because it feels naught having a drink in a towel

i started using clubs about 12 years ago when there was nowhere near as many as their are now days and people who went went to play now more people seem to go just to be social

I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing it's just an observation

Fortress of Solitude, Middlesex

We went to a club last Saturday, mainly to catch up with friends we had not seen in some time. We had a really good laugh, and whatever fun is always a bonus.

I think swinging has become a lot more of a social thing than it was when I started. I went to a club Saturday and I knew I wasn't going to play but went purely to be sociable and be around like minded people.

I think that's more acceptable now then it has ever been

Absolutely. We say we'll meet for a drink in a club and say hi. That's it. After all, you may not like someone in the flesh, or vice versa. No pressure, but if all is ok, let the playtime commence.

Our local club has become more like our local pub. We'll go sometimes and not play at all, just sit in the bar and relax and socialise in the sexy atmosphere.

Where else can you go and flash sexily without getting dirty looks from some people?

We love it.

All very valid points, maybe we prefer something not many others do now at clubs.

Thanks for the replies
