It's a contentious subject on here bit its all down to personal choice. Safe sex doesn't put your unborn child at risk. That's a fallacy.

There are a lot of missconceptions out there, it's an emotive subject.

As with anything, it's a woman's choice but sadly people judge.

I Have a couple of friends that have had kids and by all accounts sex whilst pregnant is good for the baby, It lowers blood pressure and it also stops the need of having to induce birth.

It's a personal viewpoint.

Personally, it was a very special time for my husband and I. It didn't cross my mind to smoke, drink etc. My husband even got rid of the cat as he heard cat faeces could be harmful to pregnant women. Ott? Perhaps, but we were doing everything to protect our unborn child.

We stress the use of condoms to try and minimise risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore I do struggle understand why a pregnant woman would risk it having sexually with strangers.

At the end of the day it's not me who's affected so whatever!

Condoms aren't 100% effective in preventing stds and they can also break, many people don't use them for oral sex either or cover fingers etc. There is more than one way of catching a sti.

sex with anyone is always a risk, you can be as regular as clockwork down the GUM clinic ~ but in between visits you could catch something like HPV for example and pass that on.

why risk putting yourself at risk for the sake of casual sex.

Well you can only take the word of someone and decide if you trust them or not. That goes for your partner too. Only 100% safe way is to have no sex at all, but I've heard most women are quite horny while pregnant and that sex is a good thing while pregnant.

It's the prostaglandins in seamen that helps induce labour, but the cervix has to be softened and getting ready for there to be an effect. Also, jiggling can have a physical effect.

Ok so that's ok for causal sex but what if I just fancy a shag?

The act is sex itself won't harm the baby but catching an STI could.

The most common being HPV...whilst it's very rare to do so you could pass a form of genital warts on to your unborn baby. Also warts grow quicker whilst being pregnant which in turn if left untreated can cause problems to your cervix.

I do think it's very harsh to tell people they should be ashamed of themselves. At the end of the day people will use their own judgement and it's their decision.

Im currently nearly 6 months pregnant and personally I've completely gone off the idea of having sex with strangers as I've become very protective of my little girl that's growing inside me.

I don't see how having an opinion is attacking someone. My opinion is that if someone has sex- full swap or soft swap- while pregnant, then in my opinion they don't care about their unborn child.

There are risks with both full and soft swap. If people don't know the risks then why the fuck are they having sex with strangers in the first place?!

A pregnant woman is responsible for that child growing inside her and going with strangers whether they use protection still carries risks.
