Fakers and time wasters

as everyone im sure has come across a few in their time like me. Couples who e mail you a few times and then you dont hear from them. Although they liked what you said liked the look of you and then nothing. Can a couple answer this question ? Even more when you message them and they instantly delete your mail but dont reply. Do they not realise you can see if its been deleted ! I just dont understand how some couples think or act its pretty tough as a single guy and you never now whether to e mail them again as they didnt reply last time so you do and they block you. My god its frustrating so can someone enlighten me as to why this happens please and thank you

Some people get a big kick out of the chase but don't really want to meet, or perhaps when they first contact someone there is an adrelenin rush which laters dissapates

Sometimes at first glance, the first message from a guy looks promising then as time goes by and a few more messages are exchanged, it becomes apparent that the guy is an arrogant, pushy asshole therefore the couple has second thoughts about him and takes things no further.

There surely will be 1001 other reasons and this is only one of them

Sometimes I start talking to someone to give them the benefit of the doubt, if I am not sure, and see if they light a spark... most don't so I see no point in continuing to talk to them. I do usually tell them at that point though.

Sometimes I start talking to someone and they say something which pisses me off.... I may reply explaining what they have done or I may just hit the delete button.

We all have a right to change our mind (or evn make up our mind), it doesn't make anyone fake or a timewaster because we choose not to take something further.

You should be more concerned with the people who keep talking.

I would also make sure that you have read profiles before you message just to make sure you at least fit their requirements regarding age and location ect

I'm not part of a couple, but as I only meet single guys I feel qualified to answer.

Leaving aside the single men who contact me who obviouly haven't read my profile I delete without reading and block those I've spoken to because:

Their conversation doesn't progress past "hi, how are you?"

They are pushy.

They cancel when a meet is arranged and can't firm up alternative arrangements.

They mail you as soon as you log on.

Someone else steps up to the plate: you snooze you loose!

I get bored.

I just don't wanna!

I could go on, but you get the idea!

I don't mean to single guy bash here ... but... I find single guys are the worst for exchanging a few messages, logging off and then never to be heard from again.

I am sure some of it is when they realise I am not gagging for a shag at the drop of a hat.

Sometimes it's like groundhog day (well month actually)... give it a month or two and up they pop again with the same opening message. When you reply and point out that you have spoken before they immediately jump to "fancy meeting up then?"

dont think the use of BLOCK CAPS at the end helps, seems that you are shouting and demanding a reply, perhaps tone it down slightly and politely request a reply, we always reply even if to say 'No thanks' but the block caps may just warrant a trip to the delete button.. best of luck though xx

Complain all you want, that is one of the reasons the forums exist, but have to say that not having pictures may be increasing the problem you have, perhaps you send them with the mail you use to contact people and that is fine to most people but we delete all mails from people who don't have any pics.

Perhaps some chat to you then see your pics and think "maybe not"

Too busy to chat.

Too busy to meet.

Bored with the mails etc etc...but the biggest one could be, changed their minds about you.

It does happen, but it doesn't make them timewasters or fakes....they just didn't want you.

How does anyone know who they want to meet until they have at least exchanged a few messages? Replying to one message is not a done deal that a meet is soon to be arranged - it's just a sign that they are interested enough to reply. How long that interest lasts depends upon the content of your messages.

The initial messages are not a waste of time... they are to prevent people wasting real time later. When someone loses interest and stops messaging they are not wasting your time either... to continue to exchange messages once they know they won't want to meet you is the waste of time.

it clearly says they are not looking for single guys -

but yet they look at the single guys profile !!!

im getting some of these couples look at my profile sometimes

so its either the guy is bi - but on the profile says he is straight

or its the wife - who would like to meet single guys - but cant because of hubby

Free site and we will look at any profile we choose, as can you... Tried to look at yours but you have hidden it so you will just have to block us on our saying we tried to look!

I (Mr) am not Bi, but if I were I would go for one of those sweet young 30 year olds.. Mrs R doesn't go into any profiles even though I keep asking her to get on here and choose. Again, if she did she would likely choose a nice tender 30/40 year old! After all, she can have an old geezer like us anytime she likes

Still, if you are doing that well that you can afford to block couples, way to go son!

as much as i'm not actually seeking couples at the moment if a couple came along who i was attracted to and wanted to meet i would

i never block unless they get really abusive or raciest ( yup they have)

sometimes you delete as they don't fit your criteria as you think thats the best way of doing it then you get a message in caps slating you for doing so

i just laugh now and delete. If we was in a pub we would still all be picky etc

They were maybe talking to sumbody else at same time to keep there options open an picked him instead.anyway why should you care getting a knockback from someone u dont know,surely only rejection from someone u actually know in the real world should hurt u.lol

I agree we've all encountered time wasters at some point, it's inevitable on such sites as this but unfortunately it's an issue we can do nothig about, it's how they get their kicks, move on and let them see it doesn't bother you, they'll soon loose interest

Haven't been on here long but my experience from another site is that patience and tolerance are key.

You have to learn to play the game - if you get ignored or your emails get deleted there may or may not be a good reason. Take it in good heart and move on

Anyone who's on here wanting their ego stroked is definitely in the wrong place.

Physical strokes on the other hand...

I just think you should be yourself, you're not going to be everyone's cup of tea but isn't that the way the world works? Just accept it and move on. Read people's profiles carefully, be polite and honest.

And for what it's worth I personally wouldn't put posts up moaning about your disappointments, it won't really show you in a good light.

if I didn't know better I'd say you have a personal gripe with a lot of people here....

can i suggest leaving it out of threads and taking into private with those people

on this one, they are absolutely correct....

you get one chance to make a great first impression, if you first impression of someone is a whinge or negative or in fact... just a bit of a prat.... then of course it is going to hinder your chances.....

people are here for a good time, I don't need to meet negative people to bring me down... its suppose to be fun for gods sake....

if every post is moan after moan after moan, then of course that is going to affect peoples perceptions of you.....

Ok so people seem to think this is all for moaning and airing anger its really not. Like everyone im here for fun and am honest and up from from the start. Im not and never do complain. Work sometimes hinders fun as being on call is not the easiest but either way if people are up front then its easy to deal with i guess everyone should just be honest from the start. Swinging should be exciting and fun almost like a little adventure in to unknown. I didnt start this thread to moan i just wondered if everyone else were in the same boat or had the same issues. Obviously they do ! Happy swinging people and you gotta love the moaners and time wasters and just live with them.

Well thats it isnt it.your just not going to fix it.cos for the simple reason that one persons defination of a timewaster is diffrent to the next persons.a bad feedback section wouldnt work.people would abuse it even for sum other people not repling to a message such as.do u want to fuck.ect ect

...and there you go!

I've been swinging three years and NEVER encountered a time waster.

I don't see meeting someone socially and not arranging to play as timewasting, I don't see being able to firm up a time for an initial meets as time wasting...if after a couple of attempts we can't meet, I don't have any further contact, if they contact me they're blocked.

Someone changing their mind is not time wasting either.

Arranging to meet and the other person not turning up is time wasting to me, and as I've said, that has never happened!

Ah yes i agree with you ! Maybe i think i was lookin at it to deep and maybe takin it a little personal. I guess what you say is true people like i hav are entitled to change there mind but just wish people were more honest. Live with the time wasters as you will never get rid of them. If you dont play on the first meet thats fine i never go to the first meet expecting to play and then if you dont your not disappointed. And if you do then all well and good.

Ontopic, what exactly can be done? I mean, just saying "something" is neither use nor ornament, so to speak.

It's also wise to remember that putting any form of user-led discrimination system (example: allowing one to report a timewaster) is open to massive misuse and a lot of manpower on behalf of the people who run this site.

I always consider a time waster someone who arranges to meet then does not turn up without even telling you. Someone who chats then does not want to arrange a meet for their own reasons is not. You cant like everyone can you.
