We're in need of some new pics which we'd quite like to take ourselves but have fairly limited equipment (Sony dslr and a couple of lenses) and even more limited artistic bent!!

Are there any couples on here who are accomplished photographers who have the time/will/patience to help us out??

I'd say looking from your profile shots you're not in need of any help.....

They look great.

Why not have a look at some of the shots you admire on other people's.profiles and get inspiration from them.

Why not do what we've always done.

Surf the net for inspiration (tumbler - yes I know I've spelt it wrong but it's a blocked word on Fab, is always good for ideas!), get a tripod and a remote control for your camera - and go DIY !!

It's all good fun, you can edit to enhance - and you don't need flash kit or expensive equipment.

Think about your lighting, using natural window light at the right time of day is more effective than any flash photography.

Google for posing ideas, look at boudoir and glamour photographers websites.

If a shot isn't looking quite right, the photographer can move around you for the best angle, rather than getting you to move.

Check out the websites of Jerry Ghionis if you want to see an amazing photographer's work.

Get better lenses and a better camera body.

Always think about your background.

Get a copy of photoshop if you can and use skin smoothing actions if you want to "cheat" a bit. And other actions can add a different feel to your work. You can buy pre-made sets of actions to really make your work stand out.
