I think it's the uniform that is attractive to females not the person in it from my experience.

I was groped once by a group of ladies as I was the last one in a house so that is what they did.

On a night out what was cringe worthy was somebody announcing to a girl that they are a firefighter or having a teeshirt with emblem on show or a sweatshirt whilst going home.
