Considering the number of people who've messaged us who didn't fit our preferences or just added themselves makes me wonder how many people read them or are they of no use?

Oh its very common that profiles are not read at all and that some members just do a mass copy and paste in the hope of a reply, i keep profile text in the hope it is read and some do! X

Its so rare they are read we some times get annoyed with people as they ask for things we say on our profile we dont do lol. We always read it as no point messaging someone who may be looking something different to what you are

i get so many messagers who dont take 5 minutes to read ( yet they expect a meet,which is hours ?) I know just delete them..

I say to ALL the non readers,jog on ..

Tbh fab isn't all that bad

We actually made an effort here as a result

Our other profiles read along the lines of 'we used to say what we were looking for but nobody read them or chose to ignore them. Either way, if you want to message, message. Chances are you'll be ignored, but hey it was good to hear from ya'

I always read profiles and then send a message mentioning what is on the profile but even reading profile doesn't guarantee a reply either.

I don't rely on my profile text, I've set my filters to suit my preferences and that works very well for me. Sometimes people read it, but it's not the end of the world if they don't.

I take exception to that. I always take time to read profiles and would hope that others read mine.

I know a lot of people don't bother though, but I would much rather take the time to work out if the profile I am looking at belongs to someone I would be interested in meeting and if they might be likely to be interested in me, rather than just winking or messaging blindly.

I read profiles, largely to save time from me messaging someone that would obviously not be interested in me.

However, I can understand why people message regardless of the profile because not everyone is honest in their profile and someone who doesn't fit might catch their attention.

not all do.... First thing we do us look at preferences.... If they don't meet ours we don't message

I have to admit, we don't even give single guys a chance ... Sometimes a few might use the first line we see in the pre_iew very wisely, but we know most haven't read our profile so we don't bother to read their message

we do read before we wink or message, we have learned over the time we have been on here that not everyone does!

it can be annoying at times but it can be funny to listen to the excuses folk try to use aswell when you point out that they cant of read your profile

I _iew a profile like a potential contract and read the small print but in your case your photos are very distracting in a nice way.

I once messaged a smoker after putting in my profile I don't meet smokers so I got told off and that was the start of a beautiful friendship.

I've just come across the first fake profile I've seen, a very attractive lady who has just joined sent me a wink and her pics were stunning and a bit too professional, a quick google search and alas all the pictures appear on separate sites all over the world seemingly her bum melongs to a model in Russia and her legs to an American model lol. needless to say I have reported
