I'm thinking of moving it to a Sunday or Monday.. This being like a string banjo at the weekend is just a waste!

Cardio and core yesterday for me.

Mid section is hurting today.

Today was upper body. So I fully expect that to be hurting tomorrow.

Going to do my first Parkrun tomorrow too.

You have to bear in mind that my gym has no cage and a smith machine so 'proper' squats are a no-go.

Smith Machine hack squat 5 x 5

Bulgarian split squat (single leg) 4 x 8

rest - do some chinup/dip supersets (3 x 10 of each) because your legs are now like jelly.

Dumbell lunges 4 x 8

Barbell front squat 3 x 10

Hamstring machine thing (injury prevention) 3 x 10-15

You may find that some stability excercises help your knee, but find out from someone qualified which ones to do.

tried that all my ligaments are weak ,to much gymnastics doc says x

Me too - the lack of a cage means that I tend to do them last because I have to clean the bar into position.

Same here, they've really improved my hip flexibility

It's the day after the day after that really gets me! Love a leg workout though, tucked up the corner of the gym away from the bicep curl and bench press posers

I'm only back today after five months off. .. feeling the pain already it feels like im starting over again!

Was dead lifting 85 in strength and conditioning before; I prefer the free weights to the machines. . It was all I could do to get through a kettle Bell class that I could have done in my sleep before. ..Not a happy bunny but will suck it up.. Did it before will do it again

_tarbeck..I have two knee replacements... and a sport's physio after my ops got me so much mobility and stability back. . Which is how I got into the gym . It can be expensive advice but for me it was well worth it tbh.

My leg workout is on thurdays aswell ,it usally hits me 2 days later so tomorrow is the day

I always thought Leg day was the best day as I love squats and used to hurt for a few days after . I haven't trained just legs since trying crossfit now with the cardio and Olympic lifting coupled with gymnastic training I hurt all over most of the time lol
