Firstly I'm not sure where to post this, it sort of fits in a number of categories. If admin see fit to move it then that's fine.

Secondly it's not concrete so I don't feel I can report the person, but I am a bit suspicious.

Yesterday I received an email (not a reply) from a local female stating that "You get a lot better results with verifications". I reply along the lines of "yes, trying to get more, need willing people".

I then get a reply saying "I don't mind writing one if it helps you", to which my eyes light up and I say "Great, when suits you to meet?"

No reponse since. My messages have been deleted. Her profile is now hidden (although it briefly re-appeared this morning with a new verification received).

My gut feeling is, chalk this one up to experience and give her a wide berth. Not sure if she just got cold feet or something more sinister was going on.

Could have been a guy trying to get a verification by giving one? Maybe this is how the guys pretending to be fems get them. Just speculation of course

You need to report the profile. He/she will be giving out fake veris in return for them. Please report it. Fake profiles ruin the site.

This is my way of doing it. It's only speculation at this point so I don't think it's 100% fair to report someone without being sure.

If admin want to know (I'm sure this will be monitored) I'm more than happy to pass on the profile details.

Reporting it with the info you have will help admin check out if it is legit or not... If it is you have caused no trouble at all as admin will like us being vigilant to make the site as much fun as it can be.

From what I can gather, they didn't actually offer to verify....if so, you can definitely report them now

This is just it, it's vague enough to possibly be innocent.

It DIDN'T say "I'll verify you if you verify me", simply, "I don't mind writing one if it helps you...".

Naively I took that to mean "I'll meet you", but no contact has been made since I asked when suited her best.

She hasn't given me a verification.

The fact she said "I don't mind writing you one if it helps you" is there in black and white, as they HAVEN'T asked to meet you, but HAVE said they will write you a verification....."If it helps you"!!!

Even though they didn't ask to meet, and when he asked when they wanted to meet they deleted all messages and then hid their profile?!?

I agree, I don't trust it at all, its definitely wrong. I guess the moderators would have a way of checking, but if they have given and received verifications illegally neither party are going to admit it, so could be difficult to prove.

Report and let the moderators deal with it is my opinion

Personally I think the only true verifications that can be believed are from several people, that you've met at a club who've verified you for the same club night!!

People are not allowed to give verifications if they have not either seen you on webcam or met you in person. If tgis person offered to do this for you without wanting to do either of the above she would be giving fake vetifications im guessing not just to you but others, so she needs reporting admin can then deal.with the issue as they feel fit.

OK. Advice taken. I have reported the profile with all relevant detail of the exchange to admin.

I hope it is a fake now, as I'd hate to have reported someone on a mis-understanding.

In all fairness yoyr reporting them for trying to give fake verifications if your account of evenys is true they will have probably done the same previously and you hopefully wont have been the first to teport them for it

Report the message and leave admin to it. However if it is fake it will just get deleted and another one pop up 5 mins later.
