I realise this one has probably been done to death but need to get other people's thoughts on it.

I logged onto fab this morning to find a message from a couple saying they liked my profile and would I be interested in chatting. Tried to respond only to find they have blocked me. Why do people do that ????? Sensible ( some hope) thoughts would be appreciated.

Dunno, but you're not the only one this happens to.

Got a couple message me (idk which one) then they blocked me before I had a chance to reply, must be done kind of new game they are playing?

Very frustrating at times ,some people wind you up some ignore you and some just cant communicate properly.....persevere it might work someday

Need to know basis

Lots of people join to mess people around...sad lives they must have!

Its frustrating but you'll just have to brush it under the carpet. I find myself blocked by people i've never chatted to. Its a way of filtering.

I even got a kiss with the message too, didn't realise it was a kids goodbye...

Another thing I thought of is maybe one half of the couple is keen but the other half isn't so one writes to you and the other blocks without saying anything first?

Maybe one half of the couple sent the message without checking with the other - the other then deciding against the idea and blocking?

Maybe they sent a message and then spotted something that changed their minds in a profile or a forum thread?

Who knows!! But there's no way of you finding out so little point trying to establish the reason!

Personally I think it's a couples profile, and the guy gets off on chatting to lots of people, but when his "not so keen on swinging" partner is likely to come on here with him he deletes and blocks so she can't see he's been chatting behind her back and they can't message him while he's on there, nor in the chat rooms!!!!

You might find yourself unblocked when she goes to work tomorrow and he's got a day off

Interesting debate. We are blocked and use block so see both sides. Never get too upset by being blocked and assumed people used it like us as a method of missing those out that are just not for us. I.e smokers?

Could be we have it wrong and have upset many! Sorry

I periodically check my block list as it's quite easy to accidentally block someone without realising when the chat room 'jumps', especially on a tablet.

Could be you've been blocked this way?

Who knows, this site has it's share of angst ridden and bitter numpties.

I sometimes get horrible replies to my otherwise friendly messages off people and then they block you as well. Why they feel the need to be shit to you when you've been polite and respectful is beyond me - I just see it as a self filtering device.

People can be who ever on the net its cyber land not real to a lot. Its free so you get a mix here The dreamers and some who mess around and will never meet up. Have to just take the good with the bad at times.

maybe it was a block in error - we done it a few times when we go to write a note and hit block - easy done
