Personally I think they're very selfish: I also include pregnant women you see puffing away on cigarettes, knocking back the booze and taking drugs!

Why put your unborn child at risk for your own selfish pleasure?!!

No, you're not missing anything!

For me, when I was pregnant I didn't empty my cat litter tray, certainly didn't smoke or drink, eat under cooked meats, soft cheeses etc, and it certainly wouldn't have crossed my mind to have sex with strangers who also have sex with strangers.

Add to that, having sex with my husband was extra special, and our time.

Other women won't see it the same way: plenty of pregnant women on porn sites gang banging bareback who don't give it a second thought!

I'm with Sassymiss on this one.

As minimal as it may seem it's not worth the risk IMO.

If my partner was pregnant I certainly wouldn't want us to play with others, personally I would prefer it that it was just the two of us, after all the child growing would matter to us more than anyone else.

Besides, I wouldn't like those hormones to unbalance

Each to their own as ever, but for me that would be a special time for us both to appreciate.

when I was pregnant with my son I had very little sex drive...and when it was with the twins...I was always horny, but could hardly even roll over in bed let alone have sex...lol...yes that was all in my pre swinging days...but I do not think I could have done it while preggers...just a personal feeling xx

Not sure about the swinging bit but not all 'pregnant women seen puffing away on cigarettes' are doing so out of choice believe it or not. I consulted my midwife on finding out I was pregnant a few yrs ago and was told by her and my consultant that it was actually just as dangerous to stop smoking during pregnancy as it was to be actually smoking. Not sure how accurate their advice was but as medical experts I trusted their advice and gave up once had given birth........twins both being 5lb + each at birth at 37 wks (which is classed as full term with twins)

Sorry not a dig but just wanted to give my input as know ppl looked down at me when was 'puffing away' but rather that than put my unborn babies through what could have been serious withdrawl symtoms

Me too when I had my 1st 12 yrs ago..........could just have been a thing with twins or completely wrong advice I was given but at the time I did trust in my consultant who had given same advice as midwife

As mentioned before, it was not a dig by any means as I used to be disgusted if saw preg woman with fag in her hand but am now open minded to the fact that they could have been given same advice as me

As for professional advice: well we chose to listen to who gives us the answer we want don't we?

Lawyers all study the same principles but take differing sides in court.

One doctor told me to have a hysterectomy, another in the same clinic said why bother, you'll be in menopause soon.

I don't want a hysterectomy, so guess which one I listened to?!!

I completely agree, you should put your unborn child first...which is why i think it would be rather selfish to be still swinging when pregnant.

the childs welfare should be paramount and whilst i am completely opposed to judging others, this is something i just dont approve of.

when i was pregnant with kiddo her father wasnt allowed near me never mind any other random man! i felt like a very overweight hippo plus baby movin around the thought of sex was just vile to me!! as for the smokin bit i did smoke whilst pregnant and had the dirty looks etc from the self rightous brigade and im happy to say jnr was born at 7 15 ounce with a crackin set of lungs i know i shouldnt have smoked but i did but couldnt have touched a drink if i wanted to as ine half lager shandy was enough to make me vomit like the child out the exorcist! x

When my partner found she was pregnant she instantly stopped smoking, luckily for her she didn't crave whilst pregnant. we have spoke of trying for another sometime in the future and she plans to stop way in advance.

I think similarly with playing whilst pregnant, child's welfare should (in my mind) come before a personal thrill.

Even if you're practicing safe sex while pregnant having multiple parnters can give you a increased risk of picking up an STI which can result in a low birth weight baby

Ive just googled and there is loads of info on it

I think you're missing the point a bit.

Most people would agree smoking while pregnant is a daft idea but contnuing because a doctor said would not be advice I'd follow.

I have fibroids that make me anemic but will shrink in menopause.

Fibroids are not life threatening and iron tablets do their job.

I'm morbidly obese, major surgery and up to six months off work doesn't appeal so waiting for the menopause no brainer for me!

And I'm sorry you fail to see that.

example, it heightens the risk of an STI, even with precaution, now risking myself is one thing, risking a baby is another.

also, if for example myself and my partner was to play with another couple, then it raises the chance of creating jealousy which can lead to complications, now where the lady may not be jealous normally, things can and do happen with hormones, so it's possible for that to happen, not something I think is worth any risk to my child or hurt to my partner.

That explain it for you?

As a parent, and as someone that has lost a child (not through multiple partners, but still..) I put my kids before any thrill I seek, be that sex, drink, smoke, drugs, etc etc.

Probably why I never get out to play much.

sex is great but my kids are my life.

I'm not missing the point at all but merely stating that taking my doc and midwifes advise to not stop smoking as doing so could have a detrimental affect to my twins was not advice I took merely because it was something I 'wanted to hear'

A view I share. Me and my then wife had sex whilst she was pregnant but between loving partners this is very different. Not something I'm comfortable with personally.

i have to agree, i had periods of intense horniness while preggers but it was a time of bonding and nest building.Sex was part of that,i wouldn't have wanted to share.

i would also worry about safety, i choose the risks i take, pregnancy would not be the time to risk hep from a bj ect,in my view.

Master and I have discussed this and decided that unless it happens we will wait and see..

However as my sex drive kinda goes through the roof.. and already been for therapy for sexual addiction.. I think we would perhaps still play in some ways.. Maybe just the Bukkake aspect or something...

but as I said. we shall see if that happens...
