This has probably been done to death before.

Im struggling to get my head around people who wink, then you send them a message after reading there profile and using some common ground off it to try and brake the ice. You don't get a response. Can someone please explain it to me.

Or you post a thread about it in the vain hope you'll get a response lol.

I don't expect a response from anyone for anything. All in doing is asking a question. If people respond cool, if they don't cool. I wont loose sleep over it.

Admittedly that does sound odd - and frustrating!!

Personally I rarely look at 'who's winked' - which I know is remiss of me! Xx

To be honest, you have a point. Why do people wink if it's not for making contact? We have had people wink at us 3 or 4 times, I always reply, then nothing

Do they just have a nervous tic or something

Difference between me and you Paula is that you are a woman and probably have every man and his mate trying to wink or message you. IM a single man and we both know it don't work like that on here for us.

We like to use them to show initial interest and if they wink back then we message them. We've had people wink at us and when we wink back, nothing.... Weird... But hey, you can't win em all...

We tend to use winks as initial contact from mobile as phone is poop for writing nicely.

If I was a few months younger I would've sent you a wink already, but now I know you'd probably not view it.

If we get winks from couples snd we like them we usually wink back but more often mail.

If we get a wink from a single male we tend to delete but there have been exceptions
