I have noticed alot of people who meet on here and then get together as a couple, does this ever work in the long term. I have often seen these new couples advertising their undying love for each other on their profiles and headlines , but in reality does the nature of swinging mean that ultimately these relationships will end quickly or badly? Or am i just to cynical

I have noticed that a lot of people on here like to have a wee pop at other people's decisions to get themselves noticed, or is that me just being a wee bit cynical?

Why would it be any different here than in normal life?

If it is going to work then it will, if it isn't then it wont! Who can tell? and whose business is it anyway, other than the people involved in getting together as a couple!

Will this thread end quickly or badly? Again who can tell !

The negative angle was there as soon as you said "ultimately these relationships will end quickly or badly? Or am i just to cynical"

It sort of sealed it too with the on the end!

But hey I am happy to be helpful anytime

We went to a party a while back and were introduced to a couple who had met through swinging fifteen years ago and they were still very happily together. If you have enough in common (and let's face it they already have a major thing there!!) it could work.

Always? 100% statistically correct? Even the made up statistics?

Oh yes, always dead accurate! But it doesn't really matter how you meet does it? Relationships are an ongoing and evolving entity so the initial getting together is pretty irrelevant in my opinion of course!

I agree , Iam probably being too cynical and again i need reiterate that i said 'does that mean' that ultimately they will end soon or badly I was not suggesting they all did. Iam sure those who have met on here have a stronger and more secure relationship

I did write 'does that mean' before the sentence more of a question than a statement, and as for being cynical, yes iam afraid I can be its a flaw in my personality. The smiley face was a bad attempt at making the OP sound light hearted was not ment as a gloat

Been in this lifestyle on and off for over 3 years now...seen relationships start..then continue very happily..

Seen relationships start...and end badly..

seen them start..end "well" and the peeps involved remains friendly...

Guess its kinda like any other relationship..but with the parties involved having less socially conventional views on monogomy...but who knows..????

Fair comment, the best relationships often involve like minded people so couples who meet on here probably have as good a chance, if not better, of remaining together as anyone else

Does it matter where you meet and start your relationship ? probably yes, but I think overall the odds are just as good for a relationship to work when people meet in the swinging scene as meeting anywhere else.

Meeting at work, many of us are totally different in our work environment than we are in our social world so this would have problems for some

Meeting in bars, how much do you know about the person and thier fantasis, interests.

etc etc

What do you know about anyone when you first meet. And what you do think you know is normally miles from what they really are like.

It don't matter how you meet its what you do from that point that makes all the difference.

Horrible people will always be horrible no matter how you dress them up
