heard about people using poppers,lots of diffrent ones mind,so was wanting to ask what exactly are they? how do you use them? and what effects are achieved from them?

i dont like them - they give me a headache

once had a guy come to my house and just start snifing them - really did not like that!!!

i thnk they dilate the blood vessells causing more oxygen to go to the brain or something

I had a thing with a guy who was absolutely addicted/obsessed with them and I found it really offputting. I didn't like the smell or the feeling of them myself. didn't know they were actually dangerous tho, thought they were quite benign as sold in legal shops etc. But then fags are too aren't they?

You sniff poppers. A lot of clubbers use them also. The trick is to take a sniff about 30 seconds before you orgasm or ejaculate. The feeling you will get is amazing. It increases your feelings 1000%.

However although they are legal you should NEVER sniff poppers if you have taken cocaine or viagra.

Also the ones sold in Britain nowadays are are not as strong as they used to be due to government legislation.

amyl nitrate, butyl nitrate, liquid gold, rush

Poppers are not addictive. They come as a strong smelling liquid in small bottles.

The liquid is toxic (very dangerous) and should not be d*unk. Users sniff the vapours of the liquid, effects are immediate but very short lived (lasting only a couple of minutes).

Poppers cause a head rush, can make sexual organs feel bigger, make orgasms last longer and relax the sphincter (bum) muscles.

When effects wear off users can feel sick, faint, weak and possibly have a headache and rash around mouth or nose.

Poppers are dangerous for anyone with chest or heart problems, anaemia or glaucoma.

They are great for parties and New Years Eve, you just pull on the string and they make a BANG as they spew out streamers, very pretty but be carefull not to point them at anyone's face cos they bloody hurt.

I am not condoning poppers use or suggest you should try them but I would disagree slightly on the dangerous side if you have no health problems. They are legal to buy and would be banned if they were dangerous. After all pot is harmless and that is banned.

I first tried poopers in the 80's and I have yet to see articles in the newspapers saying how dangerous they are or articles syaing somebody died using them.

Very stupid thing to do but I know a guy who once went to a party and fell asleep. His mates thought it would be fun to stuff a bottle of poppers up his nose. They left it up his nose all night. As poppers evaporate by the time he woke up the bottle was empty. So while he was asleep he was constantly sniffing poppers until they evaporated.

They are legal to buy in the UK but other countries have banned the sale of them. When I say legal to buy they are only that when they are sold and labeled as "video head cleaner", "polish remover", etc, they are also found in some air fresheners.

It is illegal to sell them as advertised for human consumption because of the dangers of inhaling the fumes directly and swallowing them by mistake can also be fatal, so I would disagree with you disagreeing on how dangerous they can be!

As far as how dangerous smoking pot can be, well, that is whole different debate!

I have used on occasions.

Amyl nitrite can only be issued by pharmacies under the Medicines Act, possession is legal, but supply can be an offence. So most sold in UK are Butyl based.

Like most things moderation is the key.

Don't use if your on anti-depressants, or suffer heart disease, high blood pressure, are anemic or suffer from glaucoma. or using any other drugs.

They also lower your immune system for a few days, so can increase your chances of catching HIV and other STDs.

Ok poppers ....

Poppers definitely help with relaxing the balloon knot and allowing for big things to be inserted ... a brief, and pleasant head rush of horniness is experienced at the same time .... inhibitions down.

In starting to use them ... like the first time you took alchohol go canny! yes they can make you feel slightly dizzy, get a sore head and slightly sick .... sound like anything else you may misuse at times .... ?

The legal versions of poppers in this country are weaker than what is available on the continent.

Are they dangerous .... well yes they can be ... for a start they can burn the skin ... so be careful not to spill.

And ....

First hand experience ... I almost died by being stupid with some poppers and a gas mask .... kids: don't try this at home .... poppers in nozzle sniff and go ape ... only too much, not mixed with real air ... needed my beloved to smack my face about and bring me round .... (he was in the bathroom when I stuck the thing on) ....

I haven't stopped using them because the feeling is great if somewhat shortlived .... but the lesson has been learnt.

ok,like this debate but surprised no one has mentioned this,

cantremember the name of the thing,but it has the candle on the bottom and a little pan type thing over it,used to burn oils,put some water in the pan,with 3/4 drops of poppers and light the candle gives a slow release of the poppers and no contact with skin and very little harm to us with heart/lung disease,and yes i did consult my doctor

Well the same can be said for people who swing, use sex toys, wear sexy uniforms, use webcams etc etc.

If poppers enhances peoples sex lives as does sex toys enhances others then good on them.

Have used poppers for many years, at 52 in great health both physically and mentally, though not all would agree with the mental state.

never had a prob with them, and i probably think the majority of people who have commented on how bad they are for you etc have never tried them but continue to smoke cigs and drink alcohol.

as they say dont knock it till you have tried it.

I used to use liquid gold in the early 90's with an ex, was quite a headrush but the only drawback was that using them too much meant that I couldn't orgasm without using the poppers. Cuming should be because you are enjoying yourself so much that your brain tells you to explode not because a little bottle of chemical makes you do it

First of all both or ALL parties should be fine with their use. Second goeasy. Your NOT doing it wrong if you use them any more than you are if you use toys etc. They just add to the pleasure IF you dont get a headache cough or burns. Personally I love them as it relaxes certain muscles and makes everything so much easier but then thats just one type of sex. You can get the stronger (old formula) ones under the counter and they dont burn the skin (well very little) so I always use those

whoever sais pot is harmless is seriously deluded. It can cause paranoid behaviour, violent behaviour and it can be addictive if taken over along period. I have seen the effects of it on a loved one and believe me it aint pretty

If they are so perfectly legal then why do they sell them under a guise???

So Chams sells them too..bit hypocritical seeing as they are supposed to have such a 'strict drugs policy'...whats the policy then?...'no drugs unless we sell them to you'?

Your not supposed to sniff them right from the bottle! the bottles contain butane to help them evaporate so if sniffed from the bottle all you doing is getting a hit from the butane. You supposed to open the bottle and leave it open in a room to evaporate. All I can say is read the instructions people lol. We have used them in the past and we got ours from Anne Summers, if used correctly they can really get things going
