Yes they exist. Usually people that meet, get on and decide they want to be fb's. Not something you can 'advertise' for as such. Just let people know you'd be open to it.

I was seeing a guy for 3 years as friends with benefits. Was amazing had all the characteristics of a relationship but none of the hassle or the label. We would go out, clubs, meals, cinemas, but then we were able to enjoy each other entirely every aspect of fantasy. We didn't sleep with anyone else in this time. for me a fb is someone ( the same person ) who you have sex with and then leave.. May have a couple of messages between you both throughout the day but no long telephone conversations.. A friend with benefit.. You can do other stuff together that isn't sex related.. Ie watching a film or going shopping instance.. Talk for hours on the phone, discuss personal matters with each other.. I find it very difficult however to distinguish the difference between a boyfriend and a friend with benefits.. Hence i have neither but would be interested to know other peoples opinion between fb and fwb

Didn't see him enough for it to be a relationship maybe once a week sometimes twice. As it says we took out all the hassles of a relationship and just had a fucking good time - it was never labelled, never met his family and only a few of his friends new about us. Was only in the end it got messy with love

I prefer friends with benefits as you know where you stand (Ish), The two I have had in the past one was great as we where part of a big group of friends and no one knew for years then some how it got out and it kind of petted out from there but we still have the same friends and still see each other in bars-partys but we both keep to out word from the start. The other moved to the USA for work and she asked me if I would like to go with her but it just to complicated to try so now we just see each other when she or I travel over for a week or so.

As for FB's I have one now and it is great fun but its now over a year and some of our friends have seen us out for meals/drinks and think we are going out? and now invite both of us out together!

Sometimes I do wonder my self as we see each other two or three times a week.. Time will tell

I find this subject so difficult to define.. I have clear lines between a fb, fwb and boyfriend.. It seems not everyone else does hence the confusion when explaining relationships.. Already stated that a fwb is pretty much a boyfriend in my eye without the overnight stays regardless if you see them only once a week or not.. Is there any wonder how we struggle to identify how we fit into someone's life when we all think its something different.. If only life was simple

I probably got comfortable with my fwb and that was the down fall. We didn't sleep with other people (as far as I know) because we were happy with what we were getting

However the turning point happened years later when I fell pregnant and he didn't want a baby. So don't think u can ever label something just because of what it appears to be. We were only sex and the fact I hate him now and hes yet to meet our son proves it lol x

I met my fb about a month after I signed up on here. Initially we only met for sex, but then started to meet for more social things, but I kept it open and made sure he knew we were free to meet others. It still started to feel too much like a relationship so I took it back to just meeting for sex and going to clubs together. I do class him as a friend so maybe a fwb would be a better description.

To me...

A fb is someone I meet every so often and just have sex with

A fwb is someone I'm In touch not just for sex with and would listen to and be there for to a degree, unlikely to meet my friends and family

A bf is someone I feel emotionally bonded with, and I would go out of my way for and would welcome in all aspects of my life, as in meeting those around me (and letting control the remote occasionally.)

At the end of it... If you both know what you are to each other, it works and you are happy then it really doesn't need a label

Good point I dont know the meal thing just started when my fb came round one early evening and I have had a mad week so I had not much food in so I said why not go out for food before then it was just going round to each others for sex and sometimes food to make a full night of it. Even after we started going out for food and drinks we agreed that we where still fb. But now we get invited to party's and meals by friends maybe that dose make us friends with?

Or is it more? we dont often play with others on our own but we have played with other couples... She is not on here, she knows I am here and has known from the start that I have been here for years but I dont seem to play on here that often now. So maybe?

Time to give her a ring and see if she wants to come round to have a chat...

I don't pay much attention to veri's, as long as they have a couple to prove they are who they say they are then I'll go with my gut instinct. My current fb was only photo verified when I contacted him and we've known each other for over a year.

once upon a time I was seeing 5 different people/couples. Needless to say I have toned it down. FB's dont just happen, it's about chemistry when you meet.

Have had a couple of f.buds...both developed through mutual attraction in the workplace... First one we were both single, great times out, and wherever/whoever we were with we just crashed at the end of the night/fucked till dawn and went to work the next day. Second one was married and looking for a little more stimulation ....which was an absolutely delicious arrangement until her feelings of guilt caught up with her....we're still good friends though...so silver linings....

i would say yes.. There's no rule that says you have to meet once a week to qualify.. If you have met them many times then i think that clarifies in my book as a fb

lol yes half kind of got to catch him awake and try to not let him doze off when he gets home from work but when we manage that and his here he makes up for it
