It's a purely habitual cultural phenomena. I'm a raging heathen but god is a word that's been in my vocabulary, not because I believed in a deity but just because lots of other people say it...

Imo there is no way a practising christian can promote swinging as a way of preaching the good news without being a hypocrite...same for any religions that are against sex before marriage and outside of a marriage.
