Oil degrades latex, so it starts breaking apart, often within a minute or less!

Oil is fine to use with polyurethane condoms.

Be warned if you use Durex Avanti condoms though. About five years ago they changed from using polyurethane (good with oil) to using polyisoprene (not good with oil). This probably came as quite a shock to many people when they realised the condom had disintergrated...!!!
