Hi there I'm fed up with rude people on this site

I'm a very polite person and and genuine guy and my profile I think is ok but most people are rude

Do any others get this problem ?

Deleted messages I can handle it's just the one who message you and chat for a bit then all off a sudden you get nothing and they have deleted message I would say it was something I said but I'm not rude or pushy maybe I should be x

To be brutally honest, we've done that ourselves. If we feel a conversation is going nowhere or we're just not picking up the right vibes from someone then we'd end a chat too.

Maybe they just decided you're not for them and want to spare any further explanations.

Worry more about the people that are interested rather than your sent messages box. It'll drive you to distraction

They got to know you a bit and decided they weren't interested, got distracted by something or someone else, just lost interest, got distracted by something going on in their lives...

There are lots of potential reasons. They lost interest, it happens and they don't need to explain it. In fact if they did say sorry we've lost interest, they'd probably be opening themselves up to abuse of who do you think you are, stuck up, up-themselves couples, sod you too because you're not all that yourselves.

The conversation petered out, get over it.

Happened here this very evening......no matter how I asked questions and tried to get a conversation going it was like pulling teeth. One line, two or three word answers.

Sorry but for me, that's only gonna end in delete and block. If that's rude then hey, shit happens

Indeed, it takes effort on both sides to keep a text exchange with a stranger going. If it gets to be like we're playing 20 questions or is "so how was your day?", "been up to much?", "what are you into?" and a load of other questions I've been asked a million times, it gets dull really fast.

Your perception of people's behaviour as rude, isn't going to cause them any lost sleep. Either stay disgruntled or change your perception. Acceptance of things beyond your control makes for an easier life.

Have to agree there add to that asking questions that are already answered in our profile. If chat tails off then we move on to the next one, that may seen rude but we don't like to waste our time or the time if the people we are talking to. We do sometimes say that we are not interested but that's sometimes taken badly. More importantly to us, if someone is not taking much care or interest in the conversation we often feel they are only talking to us because they have no one else to talk to.

If that person doesn't make a good first impression though why would you waste more time. The perfect example was the conversation I had earlier with the male half of another couple. The chat was totally one sided, dull and uninteresting. Why should we take any more time to find out?

I agree what has been previously said. Yes, it can be annoying if the conversation fizzles out when you think it might be going somewhere, or all your messages just get suddenly deleted - it happens. Don't let it bother you. Just move on to the next profile.

Dude, it happens all the time.

Only one thing you can do, and that's get used to it. You're not going to change anyone's behaviour, and to be fair, the people you're moaning about might not be forum users so might not see your thread.

I've even found myself doing it - and i'm politeness personified. The conversation just wasn't going anywhere

For me there are several mistakes people make when trying to have a "conversation" with me, that make me become bored and loose interest, they are as follows;

One word/sentence replies that provoke no imagination or further comment.

Asking questions that are clearly answered in my profile.

Talking constantly about sex and nothing else.

Asking "what you gonna do to me?" (usually the classic timewaster/fantasist phrase)

Making the "conversation" clearly one sided so it comes across like they are all "me me me" and have no real interest in myself, its all about them

An over usuage of text speak, I can forgive the odd use of "n" instead of and, "u" instead of you etc but if the whole sentence but, "wen tha ole fing iz in txt spk i 8 it!" I mean, is it really that hard to type; "when the whole thing is in text speak I hate it!" so you converse like an adult instead.

First impressions are important. I don't want a run of the mill chat that's more boring than ones I have with my mother. I respond in accordance with a message I'm sent. If a personality comes across as something I'm not attracted to no amount of chit chat will make me want to get in bed with a man. I try very hard to like people but sexual attraction is either there or it isn't

Its usually couples that are the rudest on here ... But theres no use complaining its just par for the course im afraid !

And would u want to meet people who are rude and lack manners anyway !
