Cancelled meets and no shows

Been back on this site after a couple off years off and wanted to get people views if my recent experience is the norm.

I had arranged a social meet for last week with a lady who cancelled the night before...it was the 2 time she'd cancelled at the last minute and we had cammed, sent pics and sent regular messages in the run up

Arranged another social meet with a different lady yesterday and got stood up...! Again sent pics, crammed and we texted each other in the run up....last text saying she was on her way but then nothing and I couldn't get through on her phone - later said something came up.

Hoping these are exceptions rather than the norm and would appreciate peoples views!!!!

Central

It can happen and maybe your fine tuning skills of picking well are a little blunt after a break. It's totally disgusting not to let someone know and stand them up. Always report. I'm usually very reluctant to ever discuss a meet again.

We have never had a no show and had one cancellation, we have realised beforehand that people aren't going to turn up so saved ourselves a trip.

We don't give second chances any more unless the reason for cancelling seems genuine and to be honest I don't know how you tell.

Basically I think there are some fantasists if both sexes on here and you seem to have managed to find a couple if them.

Better luck next time.

I just think it part of the norm on here, as well as a whole bunch of other things that you might have to get used to.

I always think it's wise to play the long game and never have any expectations until you're actually getting it on!

Hope your luck improves.

Were these people well verified by meets? Although I accept life can take over and sometimes people have to cancel, if someone does it more than once then I'm off. As for someone saying they're on their way then nothing, that's cruel, unless something happened on the way, accident or similar. Unfortunately, some on here just like the thrill of the chase and the attention that brings. I often wonder if people can't meet socially, how would they meet for sex?

Thx that's a good point....will refine my approach as I get back into the swing of things

We are going on a first meet tonight after messaging cpl on this site a couple of weeks ago. Still quite nervous as fairly new to this and not done this kind of meet before but would never dream of cancelling or not turning up. That's the whole point of this for us - something new exciting and slightly out of our comfort zone. Can't understand why people go to trouble of arranging meet then cancelling. Wish us luck lol

hiding from cock pics.

It looks like you did all you could.

I would suggest meeting local people then at lease you are not travelling too far for a potential meet.

It is one of those things on here but the good stuff happens too so keep going.

We have had to cancel on the odd occasion but we informed the people we eere meeting and apologised and we have had the same in return.

We also arranged hotel fun in london with 3 other couples and none of them showed and only one messaged to say running late but would still try but then couldnt make it.

All had several veris so assumed reliable mailed one couple following day why they just said mrs was tired after day at work and didnt feel like it no apology though.

Luckily Bev is more than enough for me so had great with the 2 of us so not worried

I don't think if someone cancels the night before that is the last minute to be fair.

I have not had any no shows but I always confirm everything on the day.

In my experience no shows seem to go quiet in the days leading up to the meet.

Life can get in the way and meets need to be cancelled however it is best to give as much notice as possible. To not let someone know is inconsiderate. If it happens again id be looking at your selection process tho.

Not all no shows are on purpose, we was a no show last weekend, we got the wrong bar, we was 3 doors away from where we should have been

.cussed alot thinking we'd been stood up but it was our mistake. Couldn't apologize enough when we realized our mistake.

I have had to cancel short notice, due to an illness, flu, but otherwise try not to organise a meet unless I can be sure of making it. Had it happen to me on a couple of occasions, luckily local so no real travelling involved. One couples changed their mind as I was only a social drinker!?? A lady due to illness.

Obviously thing outside of our control, or real life, does occasionally interfere with plans, but no excuse for not letting someone know!

It happens mate. I've never had a no show so I can't sympathise. But recently had the same woman cancel on me twice, one of them hours before we were due to meet. Somehow I'm the "wanker" because I'm no longer interested.

It's not nice, but it happens. I've been chatting to someone on here for a while. We planned out where to meet and the time in the morning. Evening came and no show! I messaged her and got nothing, until about four days later. "Something came up, sorry".

I was only thinking to myself this morning how much people's approach to meeting is so different to a couple of years ago on here.

I see a huge change in people's attitudes, respect, and how we treat each other....not for the better sadly.

There are still a few rare diamonds on here worth discovering if you have the patience xx
