hotlists notifier

Hi folks, wondered what the overall concensus is for a hotlist notifier for profiles, kind of like a fab but it lets you see who has you on their hot list...

Or is that a dumb idea?

Yeah i spose, or if it gave you the option to opt in or out of wanting to be seen, the same way viewing profiles does...

I hotlist people I want to stalk but not meet. I'd lose my anonymity

Think there's already a thread about this in the Site Help part of the forum.

Here it is http://www.fabswingers.com/forum/help/307794

Yes, almost, but you can add people to your hotlist that you may not necessarily be able to message or wink at due to filters.

I find that some people may have set an unrealistic, rather limiting age range and have filters applied. Over time, they may realise that, for example, all things not being equal, they may be missing out on certain people they might rather like due to the filters they have in place - and so either expand the age range or relax the filters.

Others may for example change who it is they're looking for. For example some couples may, for a time, be on the lookout for single males, then might fancy having some fun with other couples and so on and so forth.

So I can see the validity of the idea behind a hotlist notifier. Then again, with many females and couples being inundated with messages already, most may treat them in the same way they do with winks and simply ignore them.

People don't always use their hotlist for people they like, I use it for profiles I've reported.

All a notification would mean is that I'll get more mail sauing 'you've hotlosted me, can we fuck now?' When I actually hotlisted them because they have net photos on their profile.

We use it for all sorts of reasons not necessarily because we fancy them, it may be that they put a status up about where they are going so we know to avoid it

We use the hot list to earmark local bare backers so we can keep an eye on who they meet locally so that would really defeat the object of how we use it

Or if one of us sees someone the other might like. They don't always agree so they come straight back off again

If you want people to know you've put on your list, man up and contact them...don't leave the site to do it for you

No. me neither, but I can see her point.

Another good use of the hotlist

More good uses of the hotlist.

Just goes to show that we all use it differently.

As a counter suggestion, perhaps there could be a feature where, when you hotlist someone, the site asks if you want to let them know they've been hotlisted.

I've seen it done elsewhere.

There's one site i've used where if you've visited a profile it gives you a couple of options - one of which is to 'like' the profile. When you click on it, it asks if you want to let them know.

Just a thought

I've just added another to mine

I mainly use mine for people i'm interested in but not able to meet at the moment - maybe due to distance or other constraints etc.

Could have it so there's a tick box to choose whether or not to notify they are on the hot list. That way it could be a different way to wink like (a winks not good enough we want too meet you!) Or if you want to avoid someone or just stalk/perv you keep your anonymity

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

How about adding a counter like the verifications...

"You are on 17 hot lists ", 10 men, 3 women and 4 couples
