"Professional" people

What does that actually mean? I've worked as a mechanical engineer, graphic studio manager, qualified teacher, compliance manager, litter picker, bin man and shelf stacker. I've acquitted myself the best I can in all of those roles. Am I better or worse for being 'professional'?

Thats the long and short of it although I take it as people are implying that professional people will keep their homes clean and have fresh sheets on. It is a misused word on here.

Professional for us seems to point at a job where you make lots of money,and not the job its self..

Or that you drive really fast in a ford capri and carry a gun..

I think its often used on here to make the statement 'I am clean well presented and the house/bed I intend to shag you in will be the same' but maybe I am wrong on that.
