As above really. We seem to have bought a lot of toys that when we have used then we wish we had saved our money. Over the past 3 years or so We have probably bought 2-3 toys every other month and every so often we have a clear out and bin the stuff we didn't like.

So What have you bought that was a let down or what has been a lot better than expected?

We have a wand, and I am not a fan of it either!! Cant stand noisey toys, and its really loud,,,,plus dont get the hype about the vibrations on it? I find some of my cheap little bullets are more effective! Juicy x

We bought a Lelo vibe. Cost us £100. Sounded good from the reviews but it's severely overpriced and fairly useless. It is a clit vibrator that comes with attatchments to enable you to wear them in your knickers out and about or to wear while your man enters you. It has a remote control with several settings which can be used from a very long distance. Settings can be changed by pressing buttons or shaking it to increase the vibrations. The remote also vibrates so that can be used itself but this is just as a way of letting the user know what she's feeling.

The problem with it is....the inside attatchment is too small (smaller than even a tampon) and so it slides out without very tight fitting undies. The penetration attachment isnt slim enough so he penis pulls it out when you're fucking. Also the length is all wrong. When inserted it doesn't even sit on the clit, it sits right up on the pubic bone, and it only vibrates at the very end.

Anyone looking into getting one of these get the WEVIBE not the LELO version. Wevibe is cheaper and much more erganomically designed...it doesnt have as many settings but honestly, what are they worth if it doesn't do the job in the first place.

See, I bought a weevibe and hate it...It's stuck in the drawer and never comes out...it's noisy, the vibrations are too harsh and the material it's made of is just hideous and rubbery...Each to their own I guess

We wasted £120 on a u shaped Lelo which is supposed to reach both your g spot and clitoris. We tried it a couple of times but it is too inflexible to insert without hurting the front wall (and I usually like my toys hard) it lingers sadly in it's box...not loved.... I don't have many toys that are a disappointment. The strapless strap-on doesn't work as a strap-on but I still use it as a dildo.

If I had a pound for every useless toy I have bought over the years, I think I would have the admission price to quite a few clubs!

Most useless I have found is things like clit ticklers which I think are rare these days. A tongue is much better! I have found that most masturbator toys are useless.

I have found, though, a toy which doesn't seem to offer promise is actually very effective. For example, I didn't think a cockring would be effective but I bought one because I thought it would look good. I discovered that it was very effective and since have had quite a few both steel and hard rubber (I do not like the stretchy jelly doughnuts as they pinch after an hour).

I expect others have found some devices effective - we are all different!
