One thing we have come across many times is fems who claim to swing - partly or wholly - because they have had an abusive previous marriage/relationship.

Kinda like they are doing it to make up for lost time.

And also quite a few who have self esteem problems that are totally unjustified as they are really sexy but yet again due to the same reason

So do you also find is this a very common reason for swinging, especially in females?

Being what you would probably call 'lifetime partners' or 'soul mates' we always felt that swinging is more to do with improving good relationships but this pattern seems to come up so many times, again and again...

Not sure about poor first marriages, but doggy/poor experiences when first venturing into sexual exploration do seem quite common.

Well.. we have been together from school.. No dodgy first marriage, unless this is still it, here lol..

We play cause it excites us, makes us realise how good we are together.. and we truly enjoy meeting people regardless.

When and if we meet people who seem to have issues.. we tend to steer well clear.. To many lovely people around to waste precious time on those who are on a crash course...

Sorry we didn't people who have issues now in their current relationship, we were just refering to fems who said they have had bad previous relationships and we seem to meet quite a lot while swinging who have said that

Same here .... together since our schooldays and as happy as two pigs in s**t lol xxx

I have to agree that folks with issues are ones to avoid, unless you like watching accidents happen.

We haven't had any bad past experiences and came into swinging to add fun and excitement to our own relationship. We have met couples that have been doing it for all the wrong reasons and it don't work.

Might sound like Dr Ruth, but just what we've found.
