Posting the same photo again and again

I often look at the newly posted public photos and have noticed some users posting exactly the same photo over and over again. Why do people do this?

I try to change or update my photos now and again but at least I use up to date photos. It seems weird just to post the same photo over and over again. Weird.

I've also seen face pics appear momentarily in that stream and then disappear. Is that what all pics do, public or private? Or is it just people setting them as public and then changing their minds quickly afterwards?

I recognized a guys face pic once and he quickly took it off once I said hello lol. Think we're all guilty of thinking its a good idea at the time and then in the morning realizing it probably wasn't :/

Ive actually blocked people who this.

They are bad photos and i got sick of looking at them when i looked on updates. Seem like a silly pastime tp repost the same pic.
