If fellow forumites state on here all their ways of sussing out fakes, the fakes will also read them and take action. They will then be even harder to spot.

I find that placing them in a darkened room then shining a bright light in their eyes does the trick, failing that the old ducking stool method is handy...the problem is the genuine ones tend to sink

Block non verified members, reverse image search any pics and arrange a social meet or phone chat. If they keep stalling for time or making excuses just move on.

The site rules don't let us spread the usernames of fakes in open forum or on status', but nothing to stop you talking to your friends. The word soon gets out. Trouble is, the fakes can just use another name and e-mail to come back. If a fake is confirmed,could the site block an isp address instead?

If you genuinely think a profile is fake you can report it and Admin will review.

The problem is that some people cry 'fake' every time they dont get a reply to a message, or get a 'no thanks' or see a pic somewhere else on the internet, or...or...

Fakes to me tend to be people that are on the site over a year and have no verifications

Also when you give them your number they wont call (havent you heard about witholding your number)

My process works for me...

If we fit each other's preferences we cam as soon as possible, just faces for a few mins to see if we have an attraction to one another- if that's all cool a social meet for a drink, then if we have chemistry the next meet can be whatever we like.

If they can't cam for whatever reason then I just can't take it further.

I know this wouldn't work for everyone but it's my way to keep safe and find the occasional person that there is a connection with for us both.

I also attend clubs and socials so get to meet people in the flesh too.

Although look for different hair colours and different times pics have been added etc most are sad single guys wanting a cheap thrill while the wife is at work and she has no clue her hubby has posted those "private pics" they took during a fun d*unken night are now all over the net

More than you'd think ... A lot use this site like a free porn site etc or to play away from the Mrs ... It's too easy these days in relationships to blur the lines between acceptable and cheating hence so many fakes that bottle meeting but get their kicks from arranging them

I've been here over a year and have no verifications, this doesn't make me a fake, I've had 9 meets all with unverified members so we cant verify each other

Fakes? just insist on a phone call also ask for an address and then ask for a post code if it takes forever its because they're checking it out , if they can tell you straight away, its a good sign

just because someone hasn't got veri's doesn't mean they are fake.

people who won't chat on phone are a definite chance of being fake tho.
