Actually, you're a little going for me. I'm a decent 51. I won't go below 44, just my personal preference.

I think it just depends on how you feel within yourself... Some people focus on the getting older... I don't, it's just a number at the end of the day... My naughty-M is a bit older than me, am 43 and boy, he is the sexiest man I know

Im 47 now and after 40 odd years of sport my body is hurting everyday wich is leading me at the minute to put on a few pounds.

hence not feeling too great about myself

but far from unhappy

I would have to say ive had more fun in my 40s than I ever did Ive been out a lot more recently and the amount of woman that are so upfront and just tell you they want to take you home is frightening, all ages too. Am glad am a fussy git its very rare a meet a single on here

I've recently increased my age limit on here and so glad I did..I have met more experienced guys with more patience making for a whole new experience for me. I met a guy of 48 who certainly pushed buttons I didn't know I had. For years I had gone for younger guys..those days are behind me.

Experience

Confidence

Security

Freedom

Naturally developed muscle

Just watch your intake and at 40 you have it better than any 20yo.

Most of the people I hung around with out there were in there late 40s to 50s and I was 24-30 and always wished I was like them...

im the same played rugby and cycled and all manor of sports , worn my joints out but still try to keep ontop of the flab, I just creak a lot now

I agree with a lot of the guys on here, 40+ has been good for me too and I seem to attract from mid twenties upwards (all advances gratefully received lol )

I think it has a lot to do with confidence, basic grooming skills (as in the wash, clean, brush up, type grooming skills, not the Saville/Harris kind) good manners and a lot of gratitude.

Young pretty people don't put in the effort (or need to) to impress that us 40+'s do!

Purely to answer your original question:

Based on data from a rival contact site (I don't think the forum rules allow me to give the name) men reach their attractive peak at about age 26, and drop below the mid-way line after age 36, from the point of view of women who are looking for men.

But these are averages, and an individual can never an average make.

I think it's to do with attitude rather than age. In my past, one of my best lovers ever was 49 & turned 50 at the time. So I definitely don't think guys over 40 are past it.
