Hi. After a scare recently, my tests are clear. Anyway, im going to rewrite my profile and am thinking of putting in that I will only do oral as per the thread title. Same for penetrative sex.

They have nonynoxil 9 on them. It's a spermicide so people think it's better bit it can cause irritation and even break the skin which can lead to having a potential blood pathway open.

WHO and NHS guidelines say it increases the risk of transmission of STIs including HIV.

Next time you get some check that they are non-spermicidally lubricated,.even if you get the free ones from the clinic.

This was my first experience of a possible sti so I did worry all week. I havent been to the gum clinic as its clear but am wondering whether to phone them anyway for more advice but to be fair he did tell me as soon as he could.

You can get Dams from the gum clinic. They are a rectangle of latex (not sure about latex free ones). Or make your own out of a condom (cut both ends off and cut down the middle) Whether you use them is a personal choice.
