In just about every activity we take part in there is an elitist fraction. Swinging, boating, caravaning, golf, shooting........really bores us that people think they are more qualified or have a superceding right over others because they are 'timed served ' .

Agree it's all a perspective thing......best vanilla oooops I came across was about a year back. Had organised a party following on from social at local pub in Malvern. A vanilla fem on next table managed to 'lose' her friends. She then overheard that we were heading back to just around the corner from where she lived...so asked if she could get a lift/share taxis etc.... Ok we said.

She also picked up on fact we were having a party and kinda invited herself.....OMG her face when two couples started playing on sofa and on floor.....

Best bet was, when we told her it was a swinging party she asked me to take het upstairs, close door and "look after her".... She should be a swinger lol....insatiable!

There does seem to be a strong kinky/geek crossover, doesn't mean we're messed up though. Plus there's been studies that have shown mental health issues are less prevalent in the bdsm community than in the general population.

Ive done Ann Summers for 23 years now....over that time ive met so my ladies all different in their own little way. some quiet...some not so quiet. confident and non confident. i can honestly say thru experience Ann Summers has opened a whole new world for alot of women, not only in confidence but also in attitude towards sex. The parties are ideal for the lady who cldnt feel they can walk into a

shop. The shops are well equipped with a good selection of items and separate section to view and check out toys. Staff are very approachable and give as much accurate information to customers through training. Yes some people may think AS is non kinky but everyones perception to kinky is different. Over the years women are openly talking about sex more and more...to the point that they know what they want and what they like. I think the likes of Ann Summers shops and the likes have helped an awful lot of people...men included

Struck me as somewhat relevent to this thread, both in regards to the way the thread has evolved but also substitute vanilla for weird and it's equally applicable to the OP.

Ultimately does it matter? Why judge other people's preferences?

On the subject of Anne summers, I find their stuff is pretty crap quality and seems more about fantasy than actual use. But then most sex shops are like that, and I guess it's a good intro for a lot of people
