If you were to ask someone for a face pic would it be wrong to be honest and say they look ok instead of saying they look nice?

Bit tactless? Why not just say, 'very nice, but not my type'. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, someone you might think is a moose might be someone else's Brad Pitt. Surprisingly, Some women actually find me attractive, so I rest my case, just a thought

I would say they look nice, only if the did. And if they did, I wouldn't use nice, I'd say beautiful or gorgeous.

Always be honest and try not to hurt feelings (yes, I know, feelings shouldn't come into it on here but I'm like that)

I had a reply back once, saying I looked 'pleasant' would have preferred ok lol

Dora. I think it's nice to be tactful and nice. There is no point in hurting people feeling unnecessarily

Often it's the less good looking ones who have lovely bodies and are really nice inbed.

I've often found the really hot looking women are often a bit up themselves and disappointing when it comes to fun. J

I've become a bit ruthless with replies to pics I don't like - I used to try and soften the blow but that usually led to more questions so nowadays it's just a straight forward 'no thanks'.

I've have often found average looking people far nicer than good looking people who are often shallow and conceited. Sorry don't agree with you. J

I don't rule out those that I find okey dokey looking. If they didn't really float my boat then I would just say thanks but no thanks as I wouldn't have any intentions of meeting but I have met people that I thought were ok looking and not my usual type but then when I have met them no built up a relationship with them I have got to know them found them great people and that can make them even more attractive if that makes sense!! You don't need to comment on appearance, just let them know if it's a "yes let's take things further" or a "thanks for your interest but no thanks, take care and enjoy the site".

Both are nice, pleasant and polite messages. Both are straightforward and can't be misread.

I'm a very visual person but wouldn't comment on someone's appearance unless they asked me to, even then I would try to be tactful. Many people have body issues and a badly worded message can cause distress that isn't necessary.

A polite no thanks or not my type is fine. I've had people tell me I was handsome then others not my type, when I personally thought they looked like something from the Adams family, then I realised we can't all be everyone's type. It's all down to taste though some people look far better in person than on a photo ?

We struggle with this, but a "thanks for your lovely pictures, but we are looking for something different", assuaged our guilt.

What's the alternative? Neither of us will do any sympathy shags or take one for the team. It's different when you meet as sexuality is so much less superficial than physical appearance. You can get a better idea then.
