try it with a toy first. lie on your back on the bed with your head hanging slightly off the edge to straighten your throat out, slide the toy in (make sure its lubricated), when you start to hit the gag point hold it for a few secs and pull out and keep trying.

I have found its all in the angle, although it also depends on the shape of the cock you are trying to deep throat.... I have found personally a slight curve slips down a lot easier

I this the best positions are:
