For me it has to be high heels and 'proper' stockings, not hold ups. I saw al day in the town where I work today, and she had 3 inch heels and black seamed stockings on. That was my first sighting this year!

Thigh high boots - good. Thigh highs and stockings - ridiculous for anyone except those with massively long legs.
