I do like a guy who has some really muscular arms.

(I do have other preferences)

But do not seem to be able to find one locally that likes a fat bird (me I mean lol).

Wish they had muscular as a build preference

I was seeing a very muscular, tall man a couple of years ago. His bed had slats that kept moving around making the mattress fall through. When it did this he would lift the mattress, with me on top and rearrange them

he isnt angry.

its the same as the women doing the whole trout pout pose.

its a look.

maybe trying for sultry and missing, who knows lol.

OP, there are many different types of people that will shag many different types of other people.

there will be someone on here that you will tickle their fancy.

there are some that will shag anything, only a pulse is required.

if the muscley arms thing is your thing, then im sure you can find him if you try

Sultry is a difficult look to pull off for a guy, any attempt to look intense or serious ends up looking like you're about to 'lay someone out' (as one of my 'moody' pics was once described lol).

They are a funny thing those legs. I've met loads of guys from the gym who try to bulk their legs up and they can't do it. They get stronger but not bigger.

I either have to wear jeans to baggy around the waist or too tight around the legs. Buying the right pair is a pain.

Though having said that I do do Push Presses, Snatches and Power Cleans a lot, all of which see you driving your toes into the ground to generate extra power, so they may have gained some extra thickness through working them indirectly.

"In my experience, one of the many things I've learnt that women don't care about is how much weight is on a dumbell!

I dunno, they'd probably have laughed had I pressed one of those pink, rubber wrapped bodypump ones instad.

I care, they have to lift more than me for me to be remotely interested lol"

Well I can't press 100kg, but how do you like my log?

"My calves are just under 16 inches, and I don't even train them - I could barely roll my trouser leg up to measure.

They are a funny thing those legs. I've met loads of guys from the gym who try to bulk their legs up and they can't do it. They get stronger but not bigger.

I either have to wear jeans to baggy around the waist or too tight around the legs. Buying the right pair is a pain.

Though having said that I do do Push Presses, Snatches and Power Cleans a lot, all of which see you driving your toes into the ground to generate extra power, so they may have gained some extra thickness through working them indirectly."

That will definitely work your calves.

I don't go to the gym. I went for 6 weeks and stopped. I've just started doing body weight exercises but I lack so much knowledge on all of it.

On another note, stop changing your pictures, I'm going dizzy!

So judgemental!

I once bought a Super King Mahogany Sleigh bed, was told to return it as it was too big, our room was massive! I was quite pleased as I paid 15 quid for it at an auction and it was worth rather a lot more..

Not a happy day involving much bed based discussion!

For the critics of gym goers, I just wanted to say, joining a gym in my teens gave me discipline and kept me on the straight and narrow. While lots of my friends fucked up their lives. I have trained all my adult life and, being in shape is a pleasant by product. I'm not interested in being huge any more, been there done that, but I would train even if it made no difference to my appearance. I just love the discipline and, next to sex, it's the best way I know to reduce stress, aggression etc, give it a go. If your bitten by the iron bug, you'll never look back.

Couldn't agree more, when I hit 35 and looked I'm the mirror I saw a fat bastard, 18st 50% body fat, (52 chest, 42 wast )

I found the gym again after 12 yrs and have caught that Iron bug, if I'm honest it the only thing that has gotten me through the brake down of my marriage.

I and my training partners love to see people new to the gym, even if they are very overweight as I was, we always encurage and engage with them on their journey of finding fitness and a healthier way of life.

Last thing new gym goers need is to feel intimidated using the weights when it full of meatheads with no respect.

Its a common misconception and also a stereotype that "meatheads" have no respect. I have trained in old school gyms for 25 years and can say very few "meatheads" I've ever known or met have had no respect. There will always idiots in the gym, like everywhere in life but the big guys I've known throughout the years are polite, helpful and big softies at heart.

I know I'm being very general and taring lots of good guys with the same brush so please take what I say that of course it's only a few in every gym but it's those few that taint the rest of us good guys, and put the new gym user off, they only see the idiots not the guys focused of beasting their session.

There are all types of gyms and I would suggest if people are put off by larger guys then go to a more commercial gym where there is a less "intimidating" atmosphere. Many people totally new to the gym will be put off by 25 stone lumps lifting massive weights and scary women benching 130kg!!!

The most I've ever seen anyone bench with my own eyes was 140kg, and that was a huge black fella who was using pretty poor form, bouncing the weight off his stomach. For such an incredibly popular lift, its amazing how many people aren't very strong in it (I'm not, and prefer to dip).

So nice to see a thread without the usual haters in it going on about how you can't be a nice guy if you take care of yourself and start throwing terms round like roids and arrogance.

It's very possible to have the full package looks and intelligence along with being a nice guy.

Keep lifting.

I don't weight lift, I bodybuild. My focus is not how much weight I lift, it's how much size I put on or gains I make.

These are two very different ways of training.

Yeah very true as when body building you work muscle groups and keep between 8 -12 rep ranges which I do more of now where before it was pyramid training to your max weight.

The more I got into it the more i researched.

"True, so you compete in powerlifting? At 130kg bench, not many could match that.

Guys bench near on 300kg in my gym so its not that much! I was a competitive lifter yes.

The most I've ever seen anyone bench with my own eyes was 140kg, and that was a huge black fella who was using pretty poor form, bouncing the weight off his stomach. For such an incredibly popular lift, its amazing how many people aren't very strong in it (I'm not, and prefer to dip).

Bench is not my strong point as I have very long arms at 6ft and a arm span of 6'6, never going to be a big bencher.

I still remember when I first tried the bench press and was struggling around 55kg and never imagined it possible for me to get above 100kg but after time and lost of effort pushed right through that on to a great PB. It used to be my weak point now its not

I don't weight lift, I bodybuild. My focus is not how much weight I lift, it's how much size I put on or gains I make.

These are two very different ways of training."

If you are a bodybuilder your pictures do you no justice whatsoever..

I think some people have affinities for some lifts and some don't, I've never enjoyed the Bench Press yet have a pretty much perfect arm span to height ratio, Overhead Presses however are my favourite, so I've always persevered and pushed hard with them, and thusly they're my strongest lifts.

Thanks for the critique, but only been training properly for 2 yrs before that was focused on weight loss which you would have read if you had bothered to engage in the discussion.

I think you'l find I've made very good gains for a 39 yr old in that short time.

For someone to be quick to judge shows very little knowledge of the sport and really isn't in a position to make that critique in the first place.

OMG this thread still going

For the Gym critics training in the gym only accounts for 30% and the rest is what you eat and how you rest....your diet is as much as important as your training and your rest periods....get all 3 right and it's easy peasy but get one outer sync and your wasting your time

I've boxed since was a nipper coming from a Irish boxing family and still in great shape at my age

Male ego going strong! Lol

Hopefully you have found some nice ones with good bodies. At the very least its shown how some men class themselves under categories which perhaps others wouldn't, or indeed how others would perceive them to look
