But I was sent a friend request by a couple. I didn't accept as they didn't match what I had in mind. I was then sent another request: Same outcome.

Now here's the thing:

Single males can send an invite to a profile but then can't send another to that profile for 30 days. I understand the reasons why such a rule is in place but shouldn't the same rule apply for single males too?

Just saying.

I think the 30 day rule only works if you leave the request and don't decline it.

Yes they can only send another request if the first one is deleted.
