Twice this week now.

We put a meet advert out For a single guy and are swamped with messages.

We pick a guy with good verifications and who seems keen and give him our address. When the time comes for him to arrive....nothing.

Phone off, not logged on Fab.

We have previous little time to be able to get meets and its a huge let down after we've spent time getting everything ready. Not to mention all the other guys that seemed well up for a meet we've

let down.

We're still new to this, are we doing something wrong? Or isFab just too full of fakes to be reliable and we should pack it in now?

We usually meet single guys in clubs so doesn't really matter if they turn up or not, but had exactly the same problem with couples, and all the excuses under the sun.

We were even on our way to meet a couple when they sent a text to say they now didn't have time to meet as she had to go to work, and we had travelled over an hour and were minutes away from them!

The last one was a car crash. One before went to the wrong town but hadn't logged on to fab to find out where we were meeting.

We now assume meets will not turn up so make plans on that assumption, if they do then that is a bonus.

You get a feel for it after a while who is shy and who not we always chat on the phone for a while before hand and make sure we get a verbal commitment but touch wood we haven't had a problem yet with people bottling it.

I'm not the sort of guy that has time to meet very often and then when you can you can't get a meet arranged because cpls/ ladies have been P'd about before and screwed it up for the genuine folk on here.

I don't know if its because I insist on meeting for a social and they can't be bothered or what but I have now got to the point of always having a back up plan and not getting ready if they haven't messaged me with confirmation 3 hours before the meet. It's such a shame as instead of feeling excited at the prospect of a new meet, you instead spend your time wondering if they will show!

We had the same thing today, someone we had really been looking forward to seeing had not shown once, then texted an excuse, then silence and is now saying we didn't turn up when she never even gave us a message back. Well at least the house looks tidy but it is single females as well as couples and guys that let you down. Suppose we should have learned by now.

We we're stood up last night, told the guy meet us in the hotel bar at 11pm! So we leave a fancy work do earlier to meet we waited and waited then gave up

Ask him why and he said he was waiting for a message to tell him we we're there? This want the plan I didn't mention this to him.

If you two put a meet up saying you want to meet men, then of course you are going to be swamped with messages. Anything with a dick within 100 miles is going to message you.

And the guy you picked, of course he's going to be keen. Then he'll have a wank, get over himself and fuck off out with his mates for a beer. Did you even talk to him on the phone or was all conversation on Fab?

You say your new to this. Here's some advice, forget putting meet listings up. Just don't bother, they are invariably a big let down.

Spend time looking through local men, find ones you like the look of and start a conversation with them about a POSSIBLE meet in the FUTURE. Develop a rapport, talk on the phone, but without going down the phone sex route as once they've cum they'll disappear. Then invite them round after a few days, but insist on good communication proor to it. Like a text or call a few hours before the meet or it's off. That way you can bugger off down the pub yourselves if he doesn't call and no harm done.

It's all about the choices you make, if you find you're constantly being let down, then I'm afraid the common factor is you.

It was resurrected by a couple who've had a similar experience in the last day or so. Given that it surely was reasonable to link to it? In both cases it was amazing that someone who was genuine and had good veris didn't show. From their posts both of them had contact numbers, not a lot more they could do. I notice both couples are into gang bangs, not saying but happy to organise and host for either or both of them, (or lots of others)

I think that's the worst part for the genuine people out there, you get a few people not turning up and bam it's then a nightmare for who you trust next, a guy with verifications who didn't turn up or the guy new on the site still waiting on his first.....nope not nice at all but hopefully the next guy you find will turn up.

Also emphasises don't put too much faith in the veri system either, apart from photo veri showing they are what they say (probably) it's not real judge

I prefer to go by instinct whether it's going to happen or not and I'm ususally right

Its a common occurance. Same has just happened to us and single guys wonder why they get a bad name.

I think the clue is when guys who say they will meet keep asking for more and more pics. Most of the genuine guys are happy with a face pic. The ones who keep requesting turn out to be pic collecting wankers basically

The same happened to us a while ago. We had booked a local Premier Inn and invited 5 guys and not one showed up. We had been chatting to them all for a good while and even met one for a coffee before.

Such a let down

We now do the party thing and clubs, but obviously they are all randoms.

I wanted the guys that we had invited - gutted.

Cost has nothing to do with it. I've been on a pretty expensive kink site and despite many conversations never managed a meet from it even for a coffee... As soon as it got to swapping details they went quiet. The issue is people expecting everyone that replies to a message is going to turn up for a shag... I just cannot see the point in going all through the mailing and chatting and then just not turn up.

But you get that from lots on here couples and singles but strange that a couple get stood up from a male unless at the last minuet the couple have changed the rules on them?

I had that with one cpouple and yes they are still on here but will remain nameless

Thats when things did not seem to be what they are suppossed to be.

I've arranged to pick someone up tonight then come back to my place hopefully until we've eaten breakfast. We spoke this afternoon, had a good chat covering many things. However I got quite a few texts after and it's obvious that she's nervous in case I don't turn up. I've reassured her as much as I can, (I've fancied her for ages and would be daft not too). One of the things I said to her and others in the past was to take a look at my verifications, I didn't get them for being unreliable and not being genuine. Hopefully we'll both be writing one for each other tomorrow

It is a kick in the teeth, especially when it's a first meet but we're adopting the attitude of "fuck them" (well obviously not literally cause they didn't show

) and not letting it stop us having fun
