How many swingers do really get tested for STI's . No really we go every 3 to 4 months so hands up do you get tested ?

We did this thread a few months back as many of the people we have met socially dont get tested as the practice "safe" sex, we do get tested and will continue to do so

I think it is something you should do, we have only been playing for a short time, and will play with hands and orally without but wont even entertain doing anything without condoms .....

i think it is a wise thing to get tested regularly. Something i will be looking at doing on a regular basis x

sti's are not only transeferred thru penetrative sex but also orally

i get tested top and tail every 6 months

I get tested when ever i have a accident with protection

, i go to the main hospital in Leeds, They don't ask any personal details, address etc all they want is a name and mobile number. you get your results via text as long as all is well

. takes about two weeks for your results and each time i go the place is packed.

T get tested every 3 mths or 10 to 14 days after I encounter a new partner.

Manchester royal Inf. has a great drop in GUM clinic, well recommended!

Yes well aware of this though i do minimise risks as much as possible also ...... and been VERY minimal for us so far x

When you get tested do you opt for the Aids test as well as clamidia etc? Last time I had the Aids test they wouldn't give me the result by the phone I had to go in for an appointment. It was negative, obviously, but it was an awful experience and has put me off that part of the test.

Also, I have found the GUM staff to be very cold and even quite rude sometimes, especially the blokes. Maybe it's because I'm getting some and they're not LOL.

have worked in GUM clinic in Cardiff and the staff are brilliant there, but I suppose some maybe serious because not all patients worry when told they have something they still sometimes ignore advice so whats a person got to do. always best to get checked and i hate bliddy condoms but rather have a rubber rash than an STD

A whole bag??? Bring me some if ever in London... the sods give me 12 and say "See you in 3 months". - 1 a week ffs!!!

Our clinic changed the hiv test policy some time ago (before than change it was the same as you said)

The test is now automatic unless you opt out and they will give you the result of it over the phone xx

Well, to be fair - I didn't think this thread was a census/survey to see how many people on Fab they could get to admit they do/don't get tested (kinda defeats the object).

On the one hand, what does it prove if you told the world via a forum thread that you do? "come play with me, am safe" ? And even if someone said they do/dont get tested, or worse, they do/don't play safe - how do you know if they're telling the truth/lie until you play with them? (I know, am stirring aren't I? lol).

Think you'll get majority of the site to post that they do? I doubt it (most of the site don't even use forum threads). And the rest will think "No one's business". Just my thoughts.

Definitely every 3 nmonths, though I had to admit to a bit of a panic when I first joined this lifestyle - by sheer joyous accident - and went every month til I was told there was not a lot of point in doing so. But sweetie, as you go voluntarily, give a wink to the nurse who gives you your baggy and tell her it's just not enough!

I live about 2 miles from chameloens club and they do a free STI clinic once a month, they dont treat you there all they do is test you and if you have anything they tell you then you have to go to your local STI clinic for treatment, so i genuinly do go every 4 weeks, as its free, totally confidential, you dont have to make an appointment and its 2 mile down the road

You dont really need to go that regular but i think you may as well use the service if its there

There's an easy way around that.

The staff at my local GUM clinic dont give me an HIV test as I'm a regular blood donor so I'm screened 3 or 4 times a year for that as a matter of course - you never see the results of your test, but you will be contacted VERY quickly if they find anything - plus you get to save a few lives in the process - bonus!

Naturally I would never recommend anyone gives blood who suspects that they might have HIV in the first place.

Yes, we do every 6 months. They're very non-judgemental about us being swingers and last time gave us a whole load of different condoms, the health advisor jokingly said she'd be waiting for the report on which sort we and our sex partners preferred!

I am with you all here.

You can say anything you want on an open forum. You can try to be in with the in crowd or please everyone all of the time, so who says what on here doesn't matter.

The consensus must be that regular testing is a must and should happen regularly enough to screen for new contacts ( but wait for 1-2weeks after)

EVEN if you play socalled safe.

That subject has also been covered.

Keep rude and stay safe.
