we had a meet over 12 months ago, we posted a couple of pics of meet with consent, no faces shown, in our PRIVATE gallery,we have just found the person we met had (lifted)our pics from our profile and used one as his main profile pic, and the other in his public gallery, he said didn't think it would be an issue as he was in them (his legs only),but didn't bother asking us if they could be used don't know whether this is theft, rudeness, but do know were furious, are we over reacting? interested in thoughts or has anyone else had this happen.

How did he pinch them if you had them in private gallery??

It would have been polite of him to ask but if pics were taken at the meet why didn't he have the same ones as you? That would seem standard to me

You have him on your profile, why is it unfair of him to have the same pic on his profile?

Personally when i have pictures taken with a meet, the photo's are for us both to use, they can help themselves,i always say that anyway, although i do ask them to not show my face, which i have not had a problem,if there in them too its only fair i think

I can see why you are annoyed that he never asked, but as you had them om your profile it's slightly hypocritical to bemoan h using them.

fair enough, the person was added as friend so had access to that gallery was just shocked to see them on his profile as wasn,t asked if they could be copied then used. just put it down to experience then?

I'm not sure about this. It was perhaps a bit rude to just take them but he is in them and you've been using them. How did he get them from private pictures

This!

When we've taken pics on meets I've always offered to share - and do the required editing before sending on.

Never been an issue - and I had a couple lifted off my solo profile - but as it was Fox I let her off!!

Friends can't see your private gallery. I think if you don't want them in public you should say.

People often call their friends gallery their private gallery without realising that there is actually a private section where you can store photos,no one can see what you have in your private gallery unless you send them the pics

Except those with exclusive Platinum membership!

They can see your pics before you've even uploaded them!

*or even taken them sometimes!

Well he could have asked out of politeness but if he was in them as well and you had uploaded them I can see how he thought it was ok.

There are pics of me on others public galleries, quite flattered really. If pics of a meet are taken its fair game really, as long as you can't be identified, but I think the site stops that when you upload anyway. Yes, over reacting I'm afraid x

Friends can only see your pics in your friends gallery... Private pics are just that... Private and no one can see them unless you send them via email

I get this weekly, people taking my pictures.

It should be an instant ip ban from the site.

I feel less and less safe that my pictures are being used by others. Not fun

We have had a couple of pics taken on a timer with a few different couples and a single guy and edited them and sent them to each individual. If we are using the pics them it's only fair for them to but at your discretion. A couple we had met a good while back I noticed they were using said pics in public profe so I messaged them politely to put them in private as we could be recognized and job done. No harm no foul

But what if you hadn't noticed, you might have found out when it was to late. It would seem common sense to me not to put pictures on your profile of other people when it might identify them.

It was alittle cheeky to lift them from another profile, but saying that all pics we take are for sharing if he's in the pics he has as much right to them as you , we will happily send a copy to the person involved if they wish to use them ( all we ask is no face is visible )

I will allways share the pics taken with my meet its only fair. What he done was pprobably a bit one the wrong side because he took them off your profile but saying that its his pictures as much as yours if hes in them.

I was contacted by a fella and when I looked at his pictures I recognized the body in 3 of them. I asked if it was him in the pictures and he said "yes"

I explained that they were the same as the first person I met off here. He promptly vanished
