Can anyone help me? I own 3 beautiful corsets, but I can't do any of them up by myself; I can get the top and bottom steel eyes done up, but I'm at a loss at how to do up the rest! Anyone have any tips?

I start at one end and do them up as I work to the other end.

I dint think I could get the middles ones done it I did both ends first.

You can always looses the lacing then tighten when it's done up too.

Annoying isn't it? I end up with a line of bruises down my stomach too where the steel eyes have attacked me during the whole sorry process...

My ample bosom doesn't allow for the middle ones to be done up first...

I've tried lying down, loosening the laces and even using pliers! I just end up frustrated and injured

Fasten the front like a zip, either from the top or the bottom. If you fasten the top and bottom on a steel corset there is very little play and you could get stuck in it.

Ensure the laces are correct, check the vollers website for tips. You should have two loops in the middle.

When you loosen the laces to put it on do it evenly and be sure you know which are your loops. Then as you tighten don't just pull on the loops, move the loose areas down (or up) towards the middle so you are in control of the tension. If you've got it right you'll be able to breathe and it won't settle/loosen as you wear it.

Or find a corset buddy.

My corset is lying at the bottom of my suitcase never to see light of day again. Having to have a man help you into it takes all the pleasure out of dressing for sex

I too have steel corsets mine seem to be laced from the top to the middle then from the bottom to the middle. I just pull them as tight as I can. They always look sexy but I find going to the bathroom real trouble.

I lay down to do up the metal eyes on the front and if its a lace up back as well, just sure it's slackened off. That way you can rearrange your boobies

Mine are 40G, I have about 10 or so corsets and the best way I have found is to do the middle downwards and then the top half before lacing up. Its not the quickest of garments to put on but worth that litfle extra patience

Always have the laces as loose as possible and that the lacing goes into the middle as loops not four ends of laces.

Start at the bottom and work your way up with the busking. Once that is fastened start with the lacing, hook your thumbs thru the middle loops pulling as tight as you can then start at the top again just using your thumbs to pull the lacing tight working towards the middle, pulling the middle loops then repeat the process from the bottom towards the middle.

Make sure you have the right size it should be between 2"-4" smaller than your natural waist measurement 6" if you get a waist trainer.

It is a case of practise makes perfect I can get one on fastened in a toilet in a service station in 5 mins, I still need to master driving in it!!

It may be worth getting new lacing for the corsets so you can have a top half and a bottom half that can meet in the middle. Then you can take both parts and tighten the rest of it in the middle. It is very tricky and takes a bit of muscle and arm flexibility. It does depend on the quality of the corset whether its a "bedroom, plastic boning" style corset or a real "it's gonna suck you in steel boned" style. It may also be worth doing up a corset on a friend so you can really see how it laces up. It does take time and practice but you''ll get there.

Got to be a suck you in steel boned one!! I love the way my rib and stomach aches after I wear one

If I'm dressing up for my fella, I only wear the ones that have hook and eye fastenings down the front. The back is laced tight before I put it on.

The other corsets I wear do require him to help me into them but I think its takes the edge off dressing up if he has to help me.

I would have no hope of putting a laced up back one on myself.

I have steel boned ones and have the front done up and loosen the rope at the back enough to put it over my head arms through first.

Then work the bottom set of laces ti the middle and then the top set to the middle, just keep going till its tight enough or you cant breathe! And tie!!
