Mate women are naturally mental and unpredictable , what they want one minute may not be what they want the next .

It's what makes them exciting, just because a woman has gone of sex does not mean she is cheating, it just means she doesn't want sex .

Don't pugs it or force the situation.

I lost all interest for several years. My confidence was shaky and my libido went through the floor.

I came out of my funk about a year ago and now I feel hornier than I ever have in my life.

and even more rarely is it the sex that the woman doesnt fancy.

there are usually other things which cause a woman to go off sex rather than the sex itself.

I have been married nearly 32 years. I still love my wife very much but she went off sex a few years ago. NO she isnt getting off elsewhere, i still want sex. I still want her. Thanks for the replies, very helpful. I have spoken to her about it a lot and all she says is she feels too old for sex. She is 54 and a very attractive woman. She says if i want sex i can go get it elsewhere, thats why i am on here, but i will work on the reasons some of you have kindly posted. Well my own personal experience, I went off it after the kids where born, fairly ripped me apart & sore, got into a habbit, but just took it down to being tired all the bloody time, year went past. Was getting a hard time from hubbie ( yes he thought I was having an affair too!).

So about 2 years ago ( this went on for 10 years guys!!) I decided to see my doc about it. Found out that I had an underactive thyroid ( brought on by childbirth for some, which was me ).

So tablets now & making up for lost fucking! Now he cant keep up!

So maybe talk to her about what and how she is feeling it could be medical!

Thanks, even more things to look into. Maybe it is thyroid related. I still treat her well, i adore her, always have done, now i know it dont sound like i do cos i am looking on here, but i want to stay married to her but want sex as well. Maybe i am selfish. I must admit i get jealous reading here that most of you have healthy sex lives with your partners and i often wish that was me. Dont get me wrong, sex with my wife was fantastic until about 3 years ago. I cant seem to work out what went wrong, what made her go off sex, was it me ? Was it her, maybe someone else paid her too much attention? I keep thinking one day her sex drive will return and maybe one day i will wish it hadn't if i cant keep up lol.

Shes in the age bracket for thyroid problems! Ask if any of her family had thyroid issues, grandparents, cousins etc.. I found out after that I did!!

Anyway my husband was also like you loved the socks off me ( thank god!)..

Its a subject you need to be gentle with though what ever it is!! Good luck..

Seriously tho i will suggest she talks to her doctor about thyroid troubles. Not sure if anyone in her family has thyroid problems but my mum had thyroid trouble. I do have to be gentle talking to her about it as she thinks its just her age and says things like, we dont have a problem and at our age we shouldnt have sex anymore.

I spoke to my partner over this as we have had sex just once in the last 18 months and then she said stop half way through lol the words she said to me was that it won't kill you to go without sex it which was very hurtful i love her but I have needs hence why I am on here looking but as soon as her mojo comes back and i am hoping it does i will leave the site so alls I can say is perceiver with the situation at home but have fun in the meantime lol

The very real truth about the differences between men and woman is that for the majority that are in ltr there are ebbs and flows. If either partner in a relationship goes off sex, somewhere in the mix, their needs aren't being met.

Whether its boredom from the sex becoming habitual or stuck in a rut or emotional needs or just day to day support.

Everyone has needs, regardless of gender. If your partner is no longer interested in having sex the way you always have, find new ways to ignite the passion.

All the effort some people put in to sneaking about to get their needs met makes me laugh, because if the same effort and imagination were applied to the ltr they are in, most would see a change.

Those that didn't should probably end the relationship but are too scared

Have you ever thought of it from her point of view? Women go off sex for many a reason 1) there is an underlining medical issue with her lady garden, be it known or unknown.

2) she is tired. 3) she is stressed/ busy/ depressed. 4) mostly cus her life is so mundane & your not making her feel like the sexy woman she is. 5) she is pissed off doing all the chores whilst you sit on your lazy ass.

Have you tried helping around the home or surprising her with a little pressie. Or running her a bath & telling her to take it easy whilst you get the kids sorted. Women when they don't use it, it becomes an elbow, just a useless part of the body. Then we forget our lady garden once gave us pleasures. Once she starts to feel appreciated & less stressed it will return in time. Just get used to showing love her way without it leading to sex. It amazes me how men do not understand the women they so say once understood.

Some women can go off sex after an operation or menopause. Some get married then aren't bothered about it with more important things like children and housework to do. Not forgetting working mums who barely get a minute alone in the bath. There will be women who just don't fancy their partner any more. No matter what he does to bring back the lust she won't be interested
