A cpl with the pensioner thread have said pensioners now range from 45 upwards? Really do forty something's think they're pensioners? I certainly don't!

some people do claim their pension at 45 but they are very few and far between. I'm not a big fan of labels, if someone looks like you would like to meet them it doesn't matter if they're drawing a pension really.

If you receive a pension then by definition you're a pensioner.

I believe that some Police and Fire Service workers as are Armed Forces personell can qualify at mid forties

6 months till i retire get my free bus pass and get me heating allowance happy days all at the age of 45 wonderful

There seems to be confusion between the words pensioner and old. Understand able in 1947 when life expectancy was 67,but rather outdated now that it is 81.
