Ok. We all know she calls. Since my coil fitting, she calls a lot and is not very predictable. What do you say to meets when you know the next possible two weeks are possibly out.

I used (luckily don't have to worry anymore) to tell them. If they arn't grown up enough to understand, wouldn't want to know them.

Its a bloody nightmare for the first year I just had constant spotting and bleeds. Had it out and never looked back. Downside is heavier periods but only last 3days.

I know where your comming from on this one, I would like to say to be honest with them as this is what I would prefer from a potential meet. On the other hand ive not been honest in the past and made another answer as I feel my periods and whats going off with my body is my business.

This is the reason i would never use the coil tbh, i hate having a period hence i used the mini pill which worked brilliantly.

Now on other drugs so cant use it and soon will have to start having periods again which will ruin life if im honest

I just tell people that mother nature has called and I'll be off limits for a week or so. Nothing to be ashamed of, most the time the response I get is along the line of "man up its only a bit of blood" most people don't seem to mind. Each to their own.......

Hi. Yes, this is what we do do. When mother nature visits we go on socials. The rest of the time we would wing it and hope for best.

well thankfully there are people grown up enough to understand and those that don't are just not worth meeting anyway x

This is exactly what's happening to me at the moment, I've had a mirena coil for 4 years and up until about 6 or 7 months ago I had no problems with it but now I never know when I'm going to get a period or how long it's going to last for, doesn't make organising a meet very easy at all

Just be honest. You've got your period and can't play. Any guy I've said this to and have rescheduled with has been totally cool. And if they weren't they wouldn't get to play at all - not like it's within our control!

Agree, I have the implant and I have been going through being on more often than not recently and one guy always asked to meet when I was on. In the end he didn't believe me, so I sent him a pretty graphic picture and he called me sick! Probably not the best idea on my part but I was rather annoyed he called me a liar. He's blocked now anyway

I am on my 3rd implant, and is a great method for me, I did have to wait 6 months settlement period when first fitted, just had it replaced 2 weeks ago and luckily for me, I don't have mother nature visiting me for months on end, and if she does? Only very light and for only one day.....

If men do not understand that women have periods? I'd seriously have to reconsider them as a meet!

surely . ... and i know this is a sex site.. but surely just because a tiny part relatively of a womans body is temporarily off limits .. you can still meet socially and flirt and have fun ... or do you all have to lock yourselves up in a mother nature nunnery for four or so days

I'm the same since having the coil fitted. I never really know when my period is going to come, although I can normally narrow it down to 2 weeks. I either won't organise anything for those 2 weeks or I will warn the guy that it may happen. I have bought some beppy tampons but haven't had to use them yet.

You don't say what kind of coil you have and not sure whether it's possible as it releases progesterone but have you asked about a mirena. They don't suit everyone but can make a huge difference - I didn't have a period for ten years after mine was fitted!

mirena doesn't work like that for everyone. It's what I have.

I would say get a diaphram fitted and continue having sex period or not.. (as well as the coil) just as a barrier method. simple really.

mirena doesn't work like that for everyone. It's what I have. "

when i reached the magical 50 i had to come cileste - knew exactly almost to the hour when i would come on etc - was put on the mini pill that messed everything up - off a day then back on - ggrrrr - got accused of lying cos wed had a meet night before and then couldnt play the next - (whatever) - so came off everything and now more or less 3 weeks off and on for 4/5 days - but still not predictable - i am just honest about it - if they dont like it not a lot we can do about it - organise a social meet or more often than not just do our own thing

I couldn't have sex at that time. I am in a lot of pain and heavy. I feel like crap tbh.

Ah you didnt say it was pain that stopped you . In which case you dont have to explain just say no I dont feel well enough, have a social meet or just give him a BJ . I spose if pain is an issue the doctors is the answer to find out the cause of pain or get another form of contraception . good luck

I always give the guy the option because it doesn't bother me one bit. However if it's a first meet many are a little shall we say reluctant and I can't I blame them really
