What do you look for before you message someone...

I rarely message and I think its mainly because I try to read between the lines and study pics for clues to what they're like..

possibly read wrong most of the time..

And truthfully..do some men just message every female hoping for a reply or do you actually look for what you 'want'.)

I read the profile, then look at the interests and if I feel we could be compatible then I send a message of introduction. Never send desperate, random messages as I feel they stand out as being desperate. I'm looking for shared interests really, otherwise how are you going to get along.

Hey....Don't get many replies though, but that's part of the fun I suppose

There's no point in sending a message where there's no hint of shared interests, a likelihood that you're at least compatible to the profile text content - and most importantly - that you meet the basic preferences that the profile contains!

Oh - and not forgetting the all important 'geography' factor!

But worth checking whether people travel first.

We get a fair few messages from Scotland, Ireland and even the States suggesting a meet at theirs!
