i think people spend way too much time concentrating on how others use the site as opposed to working on what they can do better.....

wise words as always Fabio. I've been here three months and not met yet. My verification is from someone I met on my previous profile. Don't see why I should delete my profile. I enjoy the Forums and chatting to various people. I'm not breaking the rules or misleading anyone

Well I don't want to filter people still shopping around. Perhaps a month or two is long enough to make a secession either way. More so u can't filter by how long they ve been here and have no veri.

we do use the filters after giving newbies and people who don't have veris after 3 or 4 mths a chance who then in turn out to be fakes an timewasters and has for meeting the right people it doesnt take anyone that long to get a meet either by means of a club or a face to face meet , so to sound blunt on this matter.

well if you dont want to use a solution the site has given you to a perceived problem in your mind... the issue isn't then one with the site... its with something/one a lot closer to home!

or you can be radical and go with something I like to call "basic common sense"... mix that with a healthy does of "sketicism" and if it looks too good to be true.. it normally is

I think you are missing the point. If you feel the only way to eliminate that problem is to only meet verified people, you can filter unverified people when you search.

Not necessarily. I signed up to the site ages ago on the recommendation of a friend.

I've only recently started to use the sight on a regular basis and the veris are starting to appear.

I never considered deleting and starting again.Just thought I would use the site when I was ready.

If that was aimed at me... I have my own "checks and balances" in place... plus I tend to find that if I am not 110% comfortable, I don't let my nether regions rule my brain.... if I am not happy, I'll keep talking to people until I am...

has it cost me meets... probably

been here best part of 5/6 years...... can count the times i have had my "time wasted" on the fingers of one hand.....

not saying it is not fallproof.... but that system works for me

What if they can't find anyone that they want to meet in that time? Or that wants to meet them?

What if they are having fun meeting half the site. They just don't advertise it with verifications.

What if they had their first meet within a 3 month period but then didn't anyone for a year. Do they have to leave and then come back?

I am very genuine and always wanted to meet somebody of fab. But every time I went to speak to somebody they told me to come back when your verified or words to that affect. I didn't meet anybody on here for months, Its not that I wasn't ready its the fact it takes one person to help you break your fab virginity so you can enjoy the rest of your experience.

We like meeting newbies , so filtering out unverified would spoil our fun .

However , if after 6 months someone isn't verified , we agree it's a waste of time being on here .

Said this before and got it in the ear , much like the op on here .

But like any community , I guess there's not much you can do about it . Dreamers , fakes , time wasters and posers exist everywhere .

Some are here to swing , play , meet and use the site for what it's here for .

Others not .... And so it is .

I guess as long as the people not seeking meets make it clear on their profile that would help .

I have verified many people who have been here months or even over a year as invited them to get there arse up party,social or club im at,i never arrange private meets with them,but some people do make the effort if they really want to meet.i have no problem chatting to photo verified,i just make it clear i meet first at partys and clubs,everybody deserves a chance and no show dosent bother me when at these events

Like others I am sceptical of people who have been here over a year and haven't been verified (not that they haven't published any, but they have no verification tick). I always ask why - the answer has always been I joined up and but never used it .

Rightly or wrongly no veri tick causes one to ponder the intent of the person. I am happy to give a photo verified person who has been here for a few months a chance, if they tick certain boxes .

Do I worry about it (how others use the site)? No I'm only concerned about it in relationship to me directly.

Personally, verifications don't mean much to me. My interaction with that person will vary. Just because they meet doesn't mean they'll meet me and vice versa.

As said earlier, if it bugs you that much, use the options provided.

Almost none of my encounters we've had are verified on here as we've been meeting for 14 years via other means. Lots of people meet in clubs and might not be asking everyone else if they're on Fab.

but if you use such an arbitrary criteria and cut off, would you also then include the people who have gone that length if time between meets? Do they then suddenly become fake?

Not forgetting that some people make a deliberate decision to not have verifications...they could be meeting left right and centre and not feel any need to publicise it to you or anyone else...

Let them use it as they see fit (within the rules of conduct that is).

I have my filters set to not be contacted by unverified profiles but that doesnt include people who are only photo verified and not by actually meeting

Maybe admin could do something whereby the filters could include people who havent actually met anyone as yet ?

And being verified on a cam in the chatrooms could also be included in this as again all that proves is you have a cam. xx

The only reason I asked a social meet to verify me was so I could take part in the forums.

I'm really not fussed about how many ticks I have against my name. But I do like to meet fairly quickly for a social meet if I feel we get on.

People either turn up or they don't - having a tick next to your name isn't going to solve that!

i think people spend way too much time concentrating on how others use the site as opposed to working on what they can do better.....

I choose to hide my verifications and also the summary. The details involving what happened during my meets are private between me and the other people involved.

I have the verified tick on my page but it doesn't really mean a lot, it could be 1 web can veri!

I think we have to take everything with a pinch of salt.

Yes there are timewasters on here but just coz they haven't been verified yet doesn't mean they are one of them.

We met a guy on our old profile, he had been on here for over a year, no veris...

Verifications prove very little or nothing, in terms of someone's integrity, genuineness and reliability and are a waste of time, effort and status-consciousness.

On the same hand, too many people (mainly couples) let just one verification go to their head, and see it as a badge of honour. Some of them use it as a weapon (excuse) to insult and bully others who don't (yet) have a verification, which is sad, pathetic, and shows insecurity.

I'm a member of another site that doesn't bother with all this verification crap, and I've had far better luck there for over 10 years. Yes, I am verified, but I don't shout about it, unlike many others who treat verifications like a matter of life or death.

I remember when I first started I had no verifications and the chances of me getting a meet where zilch. I wasn't anybodys cup of tea. But, if someone did take me up on the offer of meeting. Then, I would have met them - I wouldn't have wasted their time and I would have shown how genuine I am.

....i mean, the first thing I did was get photo verified and then soon after a while got my first webcam verification. I'm not going to ask someone to verify me. I don't need them to verify me - if they take the chance to get to know me. Then, they'd know if i'm genuine or not.

Why????

A few years ago we had a meet up had plenty of guys reply saying they wanted to meet the 2 guys who were I verified and been on here for over a year who also replied said they wanted to meet...

Out of all replies the only 2 guys unverified turned up, when we asked them why hadn't they been verified they both said longer you are on here and not been verified people think you are times wasters or pic collectors, those 2 guys turned out to be one of our best meets.
