It depends in what the words are saying really. I don't mind spelling errors as long as the content is ok, I do struggle to understand when there are no full stops though and tend to give up .

No problems with the odd gramatical/spelling mistake we all do that, just sometimes I think people let themselves down or is it just the chav society we have now with such low standards! ,ops soapbox time lol

Sorry but it would put me off. Unless they suffered from dyslexia. I have chatted with a guy on hear who clearly stated that he was educated but suffered from dyslexia. Made things a little harder to communicate but it was fine. People that just use text speak as the norm, I find annoying. xx

If it doesn't bother you it's a non issue.

But unless you are a cretin, spelling like that would mean to me; a different level.

That's not being stuck up or aloof, but this is about friendship as well as the naughty aspect.

We have 2 Sons one at uni studying English= gramar nazi the other severly dyslexic, very clever lad now at engineering college, but, what is are the chances of both parts of the couple been dysexic? When we came back to fab we sorted our little profile together, original one was a lot longer.......too long really.

I thought, at first, the OP was serious in the way they wrote that. How sad; how far we have sunk.

It does pit us off. Dont want to appear snobby but we want to be on a similar level. We dont think we would get on with, or be comfortable, to be in intimate scenarios with someone whose messages are so poor.

Brighton - even Hove!

I don't mind the odd spelling mistake, but as their spelling, grammar, punctuation and overall content becomes worse, the less inclined I am to have any interest at all.

I like people who have made a little teeny bit of effort. If they can't be bothered, then nor can I.

Spelling mistakes are ok but text speak in a message, we simply delete the message.

Spelling mistakes I can handle. No punctuation annoys me, and I usually just give up trying to read it. A profile wrote in text speak just results in the delete button being used, especially if it's anyone over the age of 40!

If they are fit and clean it doesn't matter at all to us .

We are not on here to make lifelong friends or pen pals ....

like this post.... if it takes me 4 times to read it and understand it, normally by then any feeling I had that was positive has normally gone

so yes i can see why it would matter to some
